Society Today…Do You Really Like What You See?

Hey guys, what’s up? I hope everyone is doing just fine. We’re all okay down here, but may see a freeze warnin Saturday night and Sunday night. Startin back Monday though, we’ll be warmin right back up.

A good friend of ours, Bonnie, or “Mountain Gal,” sent me a video last week.

I thought it was great, and felt I’d let you guys in on it today.

If you haven’t seen this video before, please watch it. If you have, then watch it again…if ya feel like it…

“A government that continues to rob Peter to pay Paul obviously can continue to count on Paul’s support.”

How easy is that?

My tomato seeds I planted last week just jumped up last night! The day before, not a sign of a dern tomato, walked in the greenhouse bout noon, looked down and said, “YES!”

The little mutha’s were everywhere!

Isaiah’s Garden…and One Blessed Man

Good morning guys! I hope this finds all doing very well.

In all sincerity today, I’d like to say, “God be with you!” He sure stands beside me…

Well, we’re getting our garden fired off. Although it still may be a tad early…I just can’t seem to hold off any longer.

Deb called this…putting the cart before the horse.

Regardless, I’m gonna fire this mutha up!

I’ve set about 400 tomato seeds, some squash, and today will be settin some cucumbers, onions, and probably a few other things as well.

God Is My Best Friend

Good morning guys! I hope all are doing fine.

Well, I have to tell ya, “Turtle’s List” has helped me out immensely! Life is turning around, and I’ve got to say that despite the confusion, moments of just wondering “how come,” and at times, “what do I do now,” all once more, is looking up.

Life IS good again!

Also, let me thank everyone for all your concern, prayers and help. They are all greatly appreciated.

You guys are great!

Funny thing happened yesterday. It’s but one more example of God’s love, and how He indeed works in mysterious ways.

Turtle and His List!

Good morning guys! I hope this finds everyone doing very well.

Well, let’s try this…I’m back, once more.

I gotta tell you guys that the loss of a spouse has been much, much tougher than I would ever have imagined.

It’s been as if I just couldn’t shake it??

I’d feel better, only to realize once more, that I was nowhere near where I should be in regards to my life. Up and down, up and down. Good days, bad days…

Where’s normal, I’d ask myself?

Will I ever BE normal again?

Ya Miss Me?

GOOD MORNIN GUYS!

How are you? Let me start off this morning by wishin all a very Happy New Year to each and every one of you!

Ya miss me? LOL!

I think my last post was around the 26th of November??

At that point I became, as some have said…a recluse. Actually I considered it more along the lines of… “prairie-doggin!”

I’d pop my head up ever so often, then, disappear again.

After a couple weeks I started getting calls and e-mails from friends and family, and it reminded me of Jimmy Hoffa when he went missin.

Alright, I guess it WAS more along the lines of Jiminy Cricket than Jimmy Hoffa…

Anyway, there was a lot of concern…from A LOT of people. Shoot, I didn’t remember that I EVEN KNEW that many people???

Okay, okay, ya take off the bill collectors and there REALLY wasn’t that many people callin on me!

Seriously though, there was a lot of…

“WHERE ARE YOU?”

In the News…

Good morning guys! What’s up? Been hangin out with a “younger crowd” over the holidays, thus, the “what’s up?” I’d be willing to bet the last gatherin I was at there wasn’t a single person there over 50??

Seems I’m becoming “the old man” at more and more of these gatherins! May have “winter” settin in on my head, but I’ll be derned if I ain’t STILL got some “spring” in my rear-end!” It’s all in your attitude, course that Ensure stuff don’t hurt either! LOL!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and in doin so, I hope you remembered the REAL reason for this…our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I was sittin here this morning, checkin out the headlines. Pretty depressing anymore, wouldn’t you say?

Let’s take a gander at just a few…

It’s Been 5 Months…

Good morning. I sure hope today’s post finds each and every one of you guys in great spirits and health. May the Good Lord Bless you all.

This morning I’d like to discuss a person who is very near, and dear to my heart. She is the other, and the better half, of this site known as Dub and Deb’s.

Yesterday, at 12:15 in the afternoon, marked 5 months since my Deb passed away. Good night guys…I miss her.

I know that each and every one of us must go through passing from this life to death. I also know that when this passing occurs, prior to that…we have a choice to make in our lives.
This simply being, eternal death, or, eternal life.

I’m very proud this morning to state that I know, undoubtedly, that my Deb, through her deep conviction and belief that Jesus Christ did in fact die on the cross to wash away OUR sin, she simply went to sleep 5 months ago, then awoke…in the presence of God.

What a comfort to me personally, this is.

Isaiah 53…

Good morning to all our friends. I hope all goes well, and everyone is in good health and spirits! If you guys ever need a friend to “shoot the bull” with, you only have to drop a line or two. You guys have sure been there for me, just as you were with Deb, so feel free to “bend my ear” at any time.

Well, I’m bout over my post-election blues, and figure all is in God’s hands regardless of what trials or tribulations he puts in front of us. Faith in God will see us through.

In the last post or two, can’t remember which (getting old!), I made reference to Isaiah 53. This scripture was sent to me by a great friend of Deb and I. His name is Sonnie…spelled IE at the end, though I’ve argued with him for years that…that ain’t how you spell Sonny! LOL

Our King Still Reigns!

Good morning to all our friends. We hope this day finds you all doing very well.

Here in “sunny” Florida, it’s just that…SUNNY! It’s an absolutely beautiful start to another day! Though it reached 41 here at the house, things are going to warm up nicely, with the coming week being in the low 80’s for the high.

Most know that my walk with our Lord is literally in its infancy stage. Yes…I’ve always believed, shoot, I’ve talked to Him daily for years now, sometimes several times a day. Yet, I really never came to know His word.

In all honesty, so many of you have become so close and dear to my heart. We’ve laughed, joked, and shared many things this past year and a half or so. In Deb’s regard, we’ve even shared tears together. You all have been so much help and support to both Deb and I, and I could never, ever, repay you guys for such concern and love you’ve given me.

It has been awesome, but the incredible thing to Deb and I both was simply that you guys, in all reality…didn’t even know us. We were in the true sense of the word…total strangers. Yet, through the kindness in your heart, your love shown was not only sincere, but heartfelt!

I know on many occasions that Deb would come up to me and make the statement, “I can FEEL their love!” Honestly, through your contact…I could as well!

Thank you all so very, very much!
