Good morning, and thanks for stopping back by to visit!

Well, how bout all you Mothers? Did ya’ll have a great Mother’s Day? I know Deb and my Mom did. We went to Moms and had a great time. All of our kids and grandkids made it, so yes, Deb was in her environment!

My Mom as well had all her children, and was only missing one granddaughter from having all her grandchildren as well. All in all we had a great meal, a great time visiting, and a great day as a whole! We hope you guys did too!

Well, how about we take a look at what our good friend Gary sent to us…it’s about golf.

Two women were playing golf. One teed off and watched in horror as her ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole. The ball hit one of the men.

He immediately clasped his hands together at his groin, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in agony.

Deb’s Juicing and the Garden

Good morning guys! How is everyone doing today? We hope all are well, and we appreciate you guys stopping back in to visit!

Well, as you’ve seen, I’ve been kind of on a tirade in regards to the fraud in the government programs, and the IRS. I’m sorry, but in today’s economy I find such wastefulness and complete unconcern by our elected leaders appalling! This statement being true in good times, or bad. Why…because it’s OUR money!

Here we are, the taxpayers or the funders of our Country’s economic system, faced with tremendous challenges of keeping our own family’s fed, a roof over our heads, and all the other costs we incur in our daily lives.

Yet, our elected officials have decided that what we do…is still not enough. Take, take, take from the producers to give to the non-producers, and even ILLEGALS, and further burden us with such total incompetency to even be accountable for the money’s we give them?? What have we come to at this point in our Country?

But, let’s change gears again and get back more on topic of what our site is about…gardening, canning, sharing a recipe or two, and just kinda having a good time. Jerking each other’s chains, and hopefully, many times you guys leaving with a smile on your face! I know through your e-mails you sure put one on our faces! Thanks!

An Update to, It IS …Our Country

Well, I was wrong in my statement that this is our Country. My aunt sent me the following video. For those who have seen this video, maybe it’s a good idea to watch it again. For those who haven’t seen it before…you better sit down!

Here is one more example of our Country no longer being ours. We the People have lost it. We’ve lost it through believing in the statement we’ve all heard… “This is America…we have checks and balances!”

Wrong. We HAD checks and balances. We are now a socialist republic.

We’ve lost it through our own negligence of not holding our elected leaders to accountability. We’ve lost it through our listening to their words, which most times are blatant lies, yet we take them at face value, instead of taking the time to research…THE TRUTH!

It is…OUR Country!

Good morning guys.

You know, in regards to expressing my personal views involving politics today, I’ve gotten to the point where it really saddens me in my attempt to understand the path we’re being led down anymore as a Country.

I try and rationalize steps I see being implemented by our government, and keep an open mind in their regard. Maybe it’s because of this, maybe the reasoning for this decision was because of that, yet once I get down to the nitty-gritty I see only one outcome…basically, total governmental control and the advocating of a socialist agenda.

To me personally I see the end of our Republic looming on the horizon. To stop this steady march towards an end I surely don’t want to see, not so much for me, but for my children and grandchildren.

I’ve lived and experienced being a part of, and living in, the greatest Country on earth…the United States of America. If we’re not very, very careful, this legacy will come to an end.

Deb and I want to write about gardening, canning our vegetables, the benefits derived from juicing and eating good, fresh vegetables. We want to laugh and cut-up with you guys. We want to enjoy our lives, as we always have, and now that we too are getting older, we’d like a sustainable lifestyle, and a certain financial future.

Political Correctness Be Damned!

Good morning friends, how are you today? We FINALLY got a descent shower last night. Man…it’s been terribly dry here, and if we don’t start getting some rain here pretty quick, we’ll have cows heading to the market…little to no grass!

Today I’m gonna talk some about the state of our Country. To be honest with you all, I’m disappointed in our media, our educational system, our elected officials, and the road we’re being led down through a political agenda.

It is not the path intended by our Founding Fathers, our Constitution, or our rights as American citizens! It instead is an agenda being forced upon the good, law-abiding, hardworking, America loving, God fearing peoples of our Republic.

To be quite frank with you this morning, it is in fact a Revolution taking place within our Country. It is a Revolution pitting the haves versus the have-nots, the pitting of socialist agendas versus the capitalist identity of our Country, and the productive versus the non-productive.

REVOLUTION….MAY 3, 2012

Here’s our good friend, and “Birthday Boy,” AP, who turned 93 just a week or so ago. What a guy, huh?

OBAMA’S SELECTIVE MEMORY OF SUPREME COURT HISTORY…….”Ultimately, I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress. And I’d just remind a conservative commentator that for years what we have heard is, the biggest problem on the bench was judicial activism or lack of judicial restraint, that an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law. Well, this is a good example, and I am confident that this Court will recognize that and not take that step.” (April 2, 2012)

“Let me be very specific. We have not seen a Court overturn a law that was passed by Congress on an economic issue, like health care, that I think most people clearly consider commerce – a law like this has not been overturned at least since the 30’s, pre-New deal.” “And the point I was making is that the Supreme Court is the final say on our Constitution and our laws, and all of us have to respect it, but it’s precisely because of that extraordinary power the Court has traditionally exercised significant restraint and deference to our duly elected legislature, our Congress. And the sole burden is on those who would overturn a law like this.” (Obama, clarifying comments he made the previous day, April 3)

President Obama made these remarks during a series of a high-profile news conference, taking the unusual step of commenting on a Supreme Court case, the challenge to the Affordable Care Act, while the justices were still deliberating.

Deb’s Garden

Good morning to everyone! We hope all goes well.

As you see by today’s title, Deb’s Garden, then it has to be obvious to you all just exactly who wears the britches in this household…and it ain’t me! Basically I’m just “the hired help,” and also she claims on her tax return that I’m…sub-contract labor.

By this she has no tax liability on my account, but this in itself, ALMOST throws me in another tax bracket in regards to my taxes. But by her only paying me $3.50 a day, no not per hour, but a day, I just barely stay under going into another tax bracket.

Her philosophy to me is simply, “Look Dub, I’m really doin you a favor here. If I paid you more, you’d end up paying more taxes, right? On top of this, I keep a roof over your head, let you borrow my vehicle IF, you need to go to town, and I cook your meals and wash your dern clothes. Ya got a pretty good thing going on here, so my advice to you is very simple…DON”T MESS UP A GOOD THING! Comprende?? I thought you might…cause I KNOW the judge would!”

Hence…IT IS, Deb’s garden, on top of everything else around here too! Marriage…isn’t it grand?? LOL!

Memories…Granny Aggie’s Apple Tarts

Good morning, and thanks for stopping back by to visit with us again. We hope this finds all well, and off to a great start in your work week.

This memory comes from our good friend Gary. He sent this to us, and Deb and I enjoyed it so much we had to share it with you guys. Granny Aggie…and her apple tarts.

This morning around 4:00 a.m. (yes, I do get up pretty early…) I was leaving the bedroom and just stopped and stared. I have walked by it many, many times but for some reason I had Granny Aggie on my mind. Granny died back in 95’. What a true “Southern Lady” my Granny was. She was dirt poor all her life but held vast treasures in her heart. In so many ways she was certainly richer than all the Vanderbilts, Kennedys and Morgans put together.

Deb is Doing Just Great!

Good morning to all of our friends! Isn’t life grand? No matter the adversity you find yourselves faced with, there’s always a silver lining. Deb and I are but two examples. The two of us are so blessed. We thank our good Lord daily, and most times, several times daily.

This is not about “preaching to you guys,” though if you’re like me, it surely wouldn’t hurt you, but this is only intended to possibly awaken a few that, yes, there is a far greater power than ourselves. It truly is the power of our Lord, and the many blessings he provides, for not just a few, but for all. You only have to ask…he’ll walk right beside you!

This is so true in regards to Deb, her cancer, and I. We not only profess he truly blesses us, but without his love and guidance, we honestly don’t know where we’d be at this point IN our lives. To say that he smiles on us daily is probably one of the most understated remarks that you’ll ever hear come out of my mouth.

God IS great!
