Our Friend AP, and… “Revolution”

Good morning friends and we hope all are in good health. Deb and I are doing just fine, and wishing for you guys have a great work week.

Today, we’ll be sharing our good friend, AP’s latest “Revolution.” AP once more, is 92 years old, and writes his column in order to help educate others in regards to the political goings on in our Country today. He feels it his duty as an American to do so. Thank you AP, it is appreciated my friend!

We Have an Anniversary Today

Good morning guys, how are ya? We hope all goes well, and this finds everyone in good health. Life is great, is it not?

Today, I’d like to take the time and share a few thoughts with you guys, and pass along some very sincere thank you’s to some of the great friends Deb and I have met since the inception of this site.

Our reasoning for the thank you’s is simple. Today, April 1, 2012, is our anniversary of Deb’s one year fight with cancer. Yep, 12 months ago today, our whole world was turned upside down by three words… “you have cancer.”

We were then told it was Stage 4 breast cancer, that it had moved to another spot as well, below her tracheal tube. It was terminal…there is no cure. The best we could hope for was 8-9 months without treatment, and MAYBE 4-5 years with treatment, IF they could get it into remission.

Well, you know that Deb took one chemo treatment, and opted for no more. She decided upon the alternative treatments that she’s been doin ever since. These things have been amazing to us both. She feels great, looks great, and in all honesty, is great!

BUT, let me say this, without the Good Lord’s help, everything we do, or have done, would be for naught. Through his grace, our fight continues. I promise you all, he’s walking with Deb daily!

Put your faith in God, don’t accept no as an alternative, BELIEVE that what treatment you decide on IS working, stay positive, keep a good support group around, exercise, and “DON’T SWEAT THE LITTLE THINGS!”

Caught Some Pigs, and a Little About Coyotes

Good morning friends, how are you today? We hope this finds everyone doing just fine, and you guys are gearing up for another weekend! Deb and I are hanging in there!

First off this morning, Deb and I would like to thank our good friend Gary. Gary was kind enough to put Deb on the prayer list at his church quite a while back. Just recently, Gary had contacted us in regards to a possible problem he may be facing.

Well, Deb and I spoke with Gary, and offered what little advice we could share, and we asked all you guys to pray for Gary as well. By the way, thank you all for your prayers, in Deb and Gary’s behalf.

Anyway, that scoundrel sent Deb a thank you card, signed by everyone in his Sunday School class. Thank you Gary, and your entire Sunday School class for doing this! Words cannot express our appreciation for such a kind a caring thought. God Bless ya’ll!

Well, I’ve spoken before that from time to time here at our place the dern hogs show up every now and then. There’s a pretty good chunk in the back of our place that is thousands of acres of State land. Across the road in front of us is much of the same.

With this being the case, it provides us with wild game that drift back and forth. This is one of the reasons Deb and I like it here so much. You guys have seen our videos of the turkeys that come up to the house daily, and we have deer and a ton of little critters around all the time. We don’t always see them, but they’re there regardless.

Growing Older…Isn’t it Grand, and Aunt Ann’s Squash Pickle Recipe

Good morning guys, how are ya? Tomorrow’s Thursday?? Where’d Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday go?? Ya’ll seen em, cause I ain’t sure I did. LOL!

You’re probably sick of hearing me ask it, but I swear I don’t know where the day goes anymore? The weeks are just rolling by. Shoot, it seems like Christmas wasn’t that far back, and you might as well say its April already.

Maybe it’s just me?…yeah, right! I KNOW I’m not THE ONLY person out there, “getting old,” or maybe I should say, getting older? Sounds better doesn’t it? Almost………nice, huh? Well it ain’t! But you know who you are, so just face it…we’re getting old. Ain’t that right JC?

JC’s a buddy of mine, and a great guy too! I met him while we were going to different schools together. Actually, we DID go to the same school, it’s just that we were like on…different schedules.

His schedule had him AT school, every day of the week, ALL day! Ya believe that??? ALL day, EVERY weekday, the man was IN school! I know, I know, it’s hard for me to believe too…and I WAS there! I saw it! LOL!

Uncle Harold… Alfredo Chicken-N-Biscuits, Chicken Nugget Casserole, and Garden Vegetable and Chicken Skillet

Hey guys, how is everybody today? Deb and I are both fine and would like to thank you guys for stopping back by!

My Mom’s brother, who is my Uncle Harold, is a sport model. There’s no one, and I do mean no one, who likes to laugh, joke, cut-up, and just have a good time than ole Uncle Harold.

He’s married to my Aunt Ann, who is one great lady, mother, and cook. Man, she can put some groceries on the table. She gave Deb and I a recipe last year for squash pickles, and I swear, those dern things are delicious. They’re my pickle of choice now, hands down!

Anyway, Aunt Ann calls Uncle Harold, Pop, as do many of his friends, as well as his kids. They have 3 boys.

The oldest Danny, is a workin Trojan, and just like his Dad when it comes to laughin and cutting-up. Actually, Larry and Gary are funny as well, but when it comes to Danny and his “Pop,” well, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree with those two.

He told me at a family reunion once, when I’d asked if Danny could make it, he says, “No Dub, that guy’s workin again. That dern boy works all the time. Matter of fact, I asked Ann once, ya reckon that they gave us the wrong baby when we left the hospital?”

That’s the kind of guy he is. You never know what’s fixin to come out of his mouth!

Well…Let’s Give It Another Shot!

Well, top of the morning to everybody. We hope all are fine and have enjoyed your weekend. Guess what…we had some rain. Only about a quarter of an inch, but good night it was appreciated. We have been bone dry.

We’ll be settin out a few plants today, more Beefsteak tomatoes, and settin cucumbers out too. Although this time we’re goin in the ground with seeds.

I know the sun scalded our first cucumber plants and Beefsteaks, but we’d set them straight out of the greenhouse into the direct sun. This, we found out…is a no-no! At first I thought it was our compost was just “too hot,” and brought in topsoil to mix and possibly “cool the compost” down some.

We found at later, through good advice from “our friends” who watch our videos that, this was probably not the problem, but once again, we just were not hardening the plants up first. Still I’m glad I added the topsoil, as this will work out good for us, too.

Here’s a comment from our good friend Bobby. Bobby lives in Virginia and is one fine gardener. He’s a heck of a great guy, husband, Father, and good Christian man. Bobby has a couple greenhouses, and he takes care of 5 large gardens on his place as well.

Here’s his comments involving “hardening” your plants prior to settin them out in full sun, after having started them in the greenhouse.

Texas Pecan Cake, Super Cake, Cane Syrup Sponge Cake, Low-Fat Cinnamon Rolls, and Got Water to the Greenhouse

Good morning to you all! We sure hope today finds you all in good health, and a good frame of mind. As for me, I’m still catchin a little flak over those dern tomatoes and cucumbers that died, OR, as Deb puts it…I killed!

Evidently she’s getting over it now though. We passed each other today, and for the first time in over a week…she didn’t take a swing at me! Things are indeed, lookin up! Life is good!

We did get the micro-jet hooked up in the greenhouse, and man is that going to make things a little easier. Hopin next week we can get it in the grow areas and get the power tied in. We’ve always had to move sprinklers and drag water hoses, so this will be a really good change, plus you can cover more ground much quicker too!

We fired it off for the first time, watched those muthas spray, and good night a livin, how easy is that? I was pretty set on a drip system, but decided against it. I know this could cause some plant disease, but with a few tweaks, and lifting some of the plant growth up, especially the tomatoes, I don’t think it’ll be a problem. We’ll see.

If so, well ole Deb will be mad at me once again. It’s literally become just a cycle we go through around here. I screw up, Deb gets mad with me, and after a few days, weeks, months or years, she’s over it. The time frame just depends on HOW BAD I screwed up! I can understand that. LOL!

Ole Deb’s Pretty Hard On Me, and Our Good Friend, Sandra

Good morning guys, and as our son Red says… “what’s up?” We hope today finds every one doing just great, but speaking of today…how’d it get to be Friday already?? Man, time flies anymore! Honestly, I can’t believe how quick it clicks by. I’ve always heard that’s just a symptom of aging, but at this point, I’m still not so sure! I’ve also heard my last statement is probably denial! LOL!

Well, let’s start off this morning asking you guys for prayers once again. We have a friend, Gary, who was just told that he may indeed have cancer. Gary will know within the next couple of weeks, once his test results are back in. Let’s all pray that this is simply a false alarm!

Gary though, belongs to a church in the Ocala area, and those guys have had Deb on their prayer list since about the time we let it out about Deb’s situation. They, not unlike all of you, have been so outstanding in the fact that you guys have all been saying prayers for Deb.

Because of this, we know for a fact that they have helped Deb so much already, and they’re a big reason for her doing so well. Thank you all again! So when we hear of a situation similar to Deb’s, once we become aware of this, we ask for your help anymore. It DOES…make a difference!

Gary, good luck, and we got your back, buddy!

On another similar note, I’d like to say a few words about our good friend, and now a permanent member of “the Bronson Clan,” Sandra, or as I like to call her…Mississippi!

Corny Pork Chops, Bratwurst Hash, and Sausage and Black Bean Pasta

Good morning guys, and welcome back in…too Miz Judi’s Kitchen. We hope all are well, and you guys are having a great week.

Before we get started this morning firin off the cook stove, we have to share something with you that Diane from Virginia, sent to us.

Two Tennessee country boys are out hunting, and as they are walking along they come upon a huge hole in the ground.

They approach it and are amazed by the size of it.

The first hunter says, “Wow, that’s some hole; I can’t even see the bottom. I wonder how deep it is.”

The second hunter says,” I don’t know, let’s throw something down and listen and see how long it takes to hit bottom.”

The first hunter says, “There’s this old automobile transmission here, give me a hand and we’ll throw it in and see”.

So they pick it up and carry it over, and count one, and two and three, and throw it in the hole.

REVOLUTION……..MARCH 15, 2012

Once again, here’s our good friend, and a man who at 92 years of age, sees the direction our great Country is headed in, and has personally taken a stand in it’s defense. AP doesn’t just “talk the talk,” no sir buddy…AP “walks the walk” as well! This is quite evident as AP puts out weekly… “The Revolution,” thus putting forth the time and effort to help educate others to the attacks upon our freedoms by today’s elected leaders, and “its” media.

I personally appreciate the work AP puts into his weekly column, and wish there were more just like him! Myself included! Here’s AP…

“Armed defense of our democratic existence is now being gallantly waged in four continents. If that defense fails all the population and all the resources of Europe and Asia, and Africa, and Australia-Asia, will be dominated by conquerors. And let us remember that the total of those populations in those four continents, the total of those populations and their resources greatly exceed the sum total and the resources greatly exceed the sum total of the population and resources of the whole of the Western Hemisphere. In times like these it is immature, and, incidentally, untrue for anybody to brag that an unprepared America, and with one hand tied its back can hold off the whole world”……..”As a nation we may take pride that we are soft hearted, but we cannot be soft-headed. We must be always be wary of those who with soundings brass and a tinkling cymbal preach “ism” of appeasement. We must especially beware of that small group of selfish men who would clip the wings of the American eagle in order to feather their own nests.”…..
