In Regards to Garlic, Lemon, Ginger, Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey

Hey guys, how is everyone? I know it is one hot dude down here. Yikes! We’ve caught a few afternoon showers lately, but no substantial rainfall. Enough though that it seems like every time I turn around…I’m firin off the dern lawnmower!

Listen, I get questions from time to time in regards to ginger, garlic, and lemon juices boiled down with apple cider vinegar. After boiling down 4 cups of this (1 cup of each), until you have 3 remaining cups of juice, you then add 3 cups of honey and mix well. Drink one spoonful a day.

This is supposed to aid in helping to keep your arteries clean and dropping the risk of heart attack. This is from a good friend of mine, and a great guy to boot. He’s well educated, very well educated actually, and has been a close friend of ours for several years now.

He, being from India, is into holistic healing. He doesn’t even take aspirin I don’t believe. He is into the herbal or natural treatments for most of his ailments. He’s a vegetarian as well and is very health conscious as a whole.

He is where I received the advice in regard to this “heart treatment.” It is a natural treatment. I’ve been taking this for over a year and a half now. I’ll tell you what my experience with this is, BUT, that’s all I can tell you, okay?

A Prayer For Our Nation…

Good morning guys! It’s great to be alive and well, isn’t it? We sure hope this post finds you all in the same boat.

Today we’ll change up just a little and talk about the fate of our Country some, and touch on our religious beliefs as well.

For all that didn’t know Deb, you missed out. She truly was a good Christian woman. She believed in God, she loved God, and she’d profess her faith in God to all that inquired, “How can you stay so happy and upbeat dealing with your cancer?”

Her answer was always the same. She’d point skyward with that little finger of hers and state, “HE…shows me the way.”

And he did. Of this I have no doubt. Deb used to tell me, “He talks to me.”

In the beginning I’d have reservations of this ACTUALLY taking place. I’d think, “Well, maybe she dreamed that he spoke with her.” As time passed, I became convinced that Deb did in fact hold conversations with our Lord.

After living with Deb our last 14 and a half months together it was so apparent to me, and anyone else that had contact with her, we just knew this woman was indeed living, and having, a very, very special relationship with God. He smiled on her daily.

A Laugh At My Expense

Good morning everybody. How are ya today? We hope all are doing well and gearin up for a good weekend.

First off, I gotta say that the grow area outside the greenhouse is lookin great! We got it all cleaned back up yesterday and what a difference. Prior to this I’d walk by it and think, “Man, I can’t believe it has gotten into this kind of shape,” but…it had.

Now I’m very pleased to go out around it again. What a difference a good prep and cleanup make.

We snatched up the irrigation lines, tilled it up twice, re-laid out the irrigation, and then raked the area out real well leveling the soil. It looks so good now, shoot, I may not even plant it! LOL!

After tillin it in, Red, Corey and I were under up under ole Deb’s oak tree coolin it a minute or so. We were just talking and I mentioned stringing the irrigation back out after our break.

Start the Grow Area Prep Tomorrow

Good morning guys. We hope this finds everyone in good spirits and health. We appreciate you stoppin back in to visit with us today.

Well, the goal of getting everything in the greenhouse and grow areas ready for replantin is finally beginning to pay off for us. Good night a livin…I sure had a mess.

Time had been in short supply and I was “learnin the ropes” in how to be…a housewife! If I ever state that I’ve started “paintin up my toenails” some, please call 911 for me. I’d be in DESPERATE need of serious professional help! LOL!

You take into consideration my normal duties and chores, put into the equation the added chores of housecleanin, washin clothes and dishes, not to mention “secretarian” as well, and dad-gum, my dern plate got full in a hurry.

I already knew it before, but now I fully understand…that dern Deb was a workin Trojan!

Is This Really About Gays, or the Persecution of Our Faith

Good morning guys, and here’s wishin every one of you a great weekend. Our grandson Devin went back home yesterday after staying with me quite a bit this summer. I’m gonna hate to see him go. He was a lot of help to me and very supportive of me. Again, I’ll miss that guy for sure.

Well, today I’m gonna give you a couple of my thoughts on actions taking place in our Country.

The first being the actions implemented from the “pro-gay” activists in regard to Chick-fil-A and the comments made by its president, Dan Cathy.

First off, Chick-fil-A has given its employees Sunday off, I believe since its founding. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve always found this to be first class.

The Beds are Ready

Good morning guys, how are ya’ll today? We’re hoping everyone is fine and you guys are getting a few summer showers. We’ve been catchin some pretty decent rain here lately of the quarter to half inch variety, or…just right!

We’ve had an occasion or two where we’ve caught 2 inches or better but we’d been so dry prior to our rains startin back up that in 30 minutes there’d be nary a puddle anywhere. Like I’d told ya’ll before, it had been so dry the dern trees were bribing the dogs!

Well, ole Devin our grandson is still hangin in here with me and that guy has sure been a help. Today Red and Corey came as well and we finally got everything pulled up in the greenhouse and fed to the cows. We then tilled the beds up good, and put down new soil to fill them back up like they should be.

I just came in from the greenhouse to throw up a post and dang if I’m not sittin here sweatin like an ole boar hog. I’d get my shower but Red and the guys went to pick up another pallet of Jungle Growth so I figured I’d do this while they were gone.

You know though, I was gonna wait to shower until I helped them unload and stack it, but if I’d go on and get my shower, shoot, I wouldn’t have to unload period.

Supervision…pretty good soundin word, huh? Especially if you’re the one supervision-in!

Fiesta Burgers, Kraut Burgers, Beef Logs, and Egg and Bean Salad

Hey guys, how are ya? We sure hope everybody’s well today.

Well, it’s been a while, but looks like we’re gonna open up Miz Judi’s Kitchen again. Miz Judi was like… “I’m gonna let you back in MY kitchen and no Deb to clean up behind you?? Get outta here!”

But, here I am so, I’m beginning to think that her bark is worse than her bite, BUT, I’d be willing to bet if she WERE forced to bite…shed take a chunk out of ya!

Diane in Virginia sent me a joke I thought I’d share with you guys…

Before Obama was elected President he went to see Bill and Hillary for some campaign advice, at their spacious home. After drinking several glasses of iced tea, he asked Bill Clinton if he could use his personal bathroom.

Starting the Green House Again

Good morning guys…how are you? We hope this finds everyone doing well.

I’ve taken a little time here lately and I’m trying to get the green house and the grow areas beside it established once more. Man, they were a mess, but little by little it’s beginning to come around.

I’ve got the tomato stakes and twine down, I’ve herbicided the weeds that were so prominent in the grow areas, and will be tilling these areas up here in the next week or so. I’m waiting to insure a good kill.

We’ll then take up the watering system prior to tilling. This is simple enough by only taking off one hose clamp from the main line on each run. We’ll set the lines outside the areas to be tilled, then replace them once we’re done.

By then, the seedlings I’ve gotten started should be big enough to start setting out.

The Plan Was…To Just Get Some Honey

Good morning to all our friends. How are you guys? We hope all are doing well, and looking forward to a great weekend!

As for me…I’m hangin in there. Actually, I’m doing pretty well considering. Today is 30 days since Deb passed away, but I have to say that I am so happy in my heart for her. She’s sorely missed, but I know she’s walking with God. Throughout her ordeal…he smiled down on her constantly! God IS great, isn’t he?

Tomorrow is my birthday, followed up next Thursday with Deb’s, the 19th. She would have been 55… “Double Nickels!” Me? I’ll be 37! LOL!

Kinda curious to see how this next week pans out, but, I am much, much better, and the coping now is much easier. She wanted me to be happy, I told her I would, and, we will be together again somewhere down the road!

Anyway… thank you all once more for ALL your support and prayers. You can only imagine how good it feels to be so loved by others…many being total strangers. Life is grand, is it not?
