Mother’s Day Memories Once Again, and Headed To the Ranch!

I would like to welcome you all back to Miz Judi’s Kitchen. I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy.

I hope everyone had a very happy Mother Day, and as for me, I had a great one.

We went to Dub’s Mom and all of the grandkids were there. The way our kids are spread out it’s hard to get them all together at one time, but on this Sunday we had all 7 of our grandchildren there.

Just watching them wears me out! I wonder where they get all of that energy? You know, I bet if you could bottle that up, you could make a fortune off of it.

Now Shelby and Mason aren’t but about 4 months apart, so they had a big time riding Mason’s little gator, and they went all over. One would drive, then the other one.

They get along real good, but one time I heard Mason crying and I went over to see what was wrong. He told me Shelby had run over his foot. Shelby looked at me and said, but he did me too! Both of them were just a crying for about 5 minutes, and it was all over! The next thing you knew, why they were best buddies again.

The four older ones were out playing badmitton with Garrett, our oldest grandson. He’s 17 and was playing against the 13, the 12, and the 7 year olds. He kept winning, and I told him that would be like the other 3 playing Shelby and Mason!

He just laughed, and then spiked another one off their heads! I thought Deb, if those younger kids don’t care if Garrett keeps bouncing that birdie off their heads, why should you?

I must admit we have some great grandkids, and they all get along good.

Dub’s Dad bought some pretty steaks and grilled them, and they were so good! Michelle, Dub’s oldest daughter had made a potato casserole, fresh green beans , and boiled up some corn on the cob. Kara, Dub’s middle Daughter brought a big dish of brown rice with broccoli and mushrooms, while Dub and I brought some black-eyed peas that we’d canned. We had rolls, Shane and Patty brought a cherry pie, and Michelle had brought ice cream as well. Now that was a good meal!

Dub and I are going down to his parent’s ranch for a couple of days Thursday morning, just to get away for a while.

I do love to go down there! It’s so pretty , and you can see all kinds of wildlife. They have a lot of deer down there, and we’re going to take a few videos and pictures to share with you all. Ruthie has been telling us you don’t see the deer down there like we’re used to seeing because of the coyotes.

I think Dub said that Shane had some people that were trapping them as they’d gotten so bad. It should be a lot of fun, and especially a lot of outside time. There are some beautiful spots just to walk around and just enjoy life!

His mom may come down and stay with us, and if she does we’ll have a blast, because she is a lot like Dub. She loves to laugh and have a good time! I sure hope she’ll be able to make it.

The last time we went down, Patty, Shane’s wife, his mom and I, rode all over the ranch, just enjoying the great outdoors that God has given us! When you are out like that, you need no money. It’s just such a lot of fun, and good solid family time.

I hope you all have a great week, and we’ll let you know about the trip.

Please remember to keep your check-ups, and if you notice anything different, go get it checked right away, do not wait.

Thank you all for your prayers and your blessing, and all of your support! Keep them coming, as we’ll keep ours coming to you.

Till next time, keep a smile on your face, and one in your heart.

God bless each and every one of you!

Deb
