Deb: Cancer and thank you for your prayers

Good morning and welcome back to Miz Judi’s Kitchen. I hope this finds all happy and healthy.

I would just like to say that I know I am truly blessed, and I always knew this, but until something happens to change your life, you don’t stop and really realize it.

I’m writing this on Saturday morning, sitting here contemplating the past week. Boy, what a rollercoaster ride!

But, you know what? Our God is a loving and caring God, and through this knowledge, he has brought peace to both Dub and I. We’ve gotten an excellent prognosis from two different Doctors, and now we have to wait and see what the surgery, and its findings, has in store for us.

I know all of you will put us in your prayers, and with this being a given, as we know from past experience you all are just great, wonderful people, I’d just like to thank every one of you in advance!

As in Dub’s piece for today, he told you about the Doctors finding breast cancer. At first, all I heard was cancer, but with God’s help, he has made me realize that it’s not the end of the world, and with his help I am going to be just fine.

My family and friends have been so supportive, and I do want them to know how much I love and care about them. Without them, I could not get through this.
As far as my Dub, you know I always pick at him, but he has been my rock, and I do love him dearly. But understand Dub, by my saying this, it’s not going to get you out having to do things, I tell you to do!

I have seen firsthand, that when you have some bad news, that the good comes out in people. Even though in these times or better said, as in this day and age, we thought a lot of this type of love and caring was gone. But I’m here as a witness to proclaim to all, that no, these feeling within people are still here, and that in times of need, the cream does rise to the top.

Our two sons, Josh and Mark, have also been like a rock to me. I know we have a long way to go, but with God’s help, and my three men involved as well, and all our family and friends, we are going to be just fine, and a whole lot stronger in the end.

In closing, I would just like to tell all of you women out there, if you notice anything at all out of the ordinary, please…go see your Doctor. Don’t wait, in situations such as these, time is indeed of the essence!

Thank you all for being there for us! Please, keep a smile on your face, and one in your heart!

Please keep us in your prayers.

May God bless each and every one of you!

Oh my gosh……..This is the first I have known about this. As a retired nurse I can tell you that you are spot on……..The first thing you do hear is cancer but I have many and I mean many friends that have gone through this and are doing wonderful. My prayers will be with you nightly as I pray for the very best prognosis available and I DO believe in miracles. We have a daughter that they found a mass on and we even saw it on x-ray. When they opened her up there was nothing. YES……I believe in miracles.
