The Bread of Life… Jesus

Today, I’d like to only share one recipe with all of you guys. Though only one, I find this to be possibly one of the more important recipes we’ve shared with you.

This particular recipe I find is not one to nourish your body, but even more important than this. The recipe today is one to nourish your soul.

This comes from a Mr. Pete Bush, and was found in the back of Shelly Mae’s Church Cookbook.

I just find this recipe to be very, very appropriate today, and I feel you will enjoy this as much as Deb and I do.

Gerry, and Mrs. Eleanor, this is for you!
The Bread of Life… Jesus

  • 4 cups of Love
  • 2 cups of Life
  • 3 cups of Forgiveness
  • 1 cup of Truth
  • 5 spoon fulls of Hope
  • 2 spoon fulls of The Way
  • 4 quarts of Faith
  • 1 barrel of Fellowship (Laughter)
  • 3 spoon fulls of Kindness
  • 2 spoon fulls of Understanding

Take Love and Life, mix thoroughly with faith. Blend along the Way, Kindness and Understanding. Add Truth and Hope. Season with Fellowship.

Bake with “Sonshine.” Serve Eternally with generous helpings.

“This is the day which the Lord hath made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Prayers are the stairs that lead to God, and there’s joy every step of the way. We make our pilgrimage to Him with love in our hearts each day.

God Bless you all…. Keep a smile on your face, and one in your heart!

    Dub,
I’d just like you to know that Deb is now on our Prayer List at Salt Springs Baptist Church in east Marion County. Our men’s Sunday School class is called the “Maranatha” Class. Look it up.
Deb is an inspiration to us all and the absolute least we can do is add her to our prayers.
We’re plain country folks too as opposed to the folks around Ocala. We live simply, garden, hunt, fish, raise our livestock, raise our children and have faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May the LORD bless your family.

Hey Gary. How are you. First let me apologize for not responding to you right off. my intentions were to do so, but, things kept popping up, and I forgot too. I’m sorry.
Thank you and the Salt springs Baptist Church for your prayers in Deb’s regard. I have to tell you that they’re so appreciated. You guys are just great for thinking enough about us to do so. I also believe that Deb and I just might surprise you guys and drop in to visit one Sunday…if you’ll have us! LOL!
Living simply…We didn’t know there was any other way. We love everything about our lives, as I’m sure you do as well. I haven’t checked into the Maranatha Class as of yet, but promise that I will. Thank you for the heads up!
Gary, you guys take care, and God Bless you and yours as well. Please pass along our appreciation to all the other members of your church! Feel free to drop us a line, or even come down to visit.
Thank you again, and we WILL be back in touch with you!
      Dub and Deb
