You know, Deb and I are doing this column Ridin’ Out the Recession, and I have to say that it has been a blessing to us both.
I can’t thank Judi and Brian, and the CFP enough for this opportunity! It was one of the better life decisions Deb and I have made. It provides us both with something that we can do and hopefully grow with as a team.
We’ve been a husband and wife, Mother and Father team, for a number of years now, but never involved in anything such as this.
Our business, Deb is my confidant and staunch supporter, but it’s always been me who made the decisions, though we’d discuss them among ourselves.
Doing this though, we’re on equal ground, and it’s something for us to share with together, and I have to say we love doing it!
This brings us to you guys, our readers, and many of you who are contributors, as well. But you all, each and every one of you have become in some shape or form our friends.
We hit this bump in the road in regards to Deb being diagnosed with breast cancer, and you guys immediately showered us with love, words of comfort and prayer. Thank you all so very, very much, you all are wonderful.
As most know, we’ve been through two tests so far, and ole Deb has aced them both. No cancer in her bones, and her stress test ended up being…a piece of cake. Please keep her in your prayers as Monday we go for another test, this one to determine if it is in any other part of her body besides the breast.
I want all to know you are in our prayers as well, and Easter is nearly upon us. Please stop, look around and count your blessings, as you only have to look quickly around, to find many less fortunate than you.
Love your friends and family, and tell them you love them, it feels good to do so. Bless your food, and give thanks you have it to share, too many do not.
Pray for our troops who are overseas and many are in harm’s way. Pray for their safe return to their own homes and family, and give thanks for their keeping us back at home safe. They all are hero’s, and not enough credit is given them!
Pray for our Country, and its people, and that we, the true American people will overcome the many hardships brought upon us by a government too large, a government too corrupt, a government no longer heeding the will of its people, and a government without God.
A government without God, cannot continue to stand. This is where we’re headed as a Nation my friends…a Nation without God. Every day they continue to try and strip more and more of our Christian beliefs, and practices from us. You see it, right?
Once you take away a person’s faith, the battle is then won. By taking away a man’s faith, then you’ve taken away his hope. At this point he can be controlled, because by taking away his God, you’ve taken away his will to stand up and fight for his rights, as again there’s no hope, no shoulder to lean on, he becomes only a puppet, to be led around however they wish.
This is part of the agenda, to take away your faith, and it’s been done in many places throughout the world, many times via communism. We hear it called Marxism, Leninism, Maoism, Socialism, but in reality is there much difference in any of them?
I’m no scholar by any means, but doesn’t it all boil down to some sort of social justice? Some sort of perverted belief that we all should have the same? Some sort of twisted ideal that even though we’ve worked hard, saved, and sacrificed our whole lives in order to reach or achieve our own goals, that others have been taught, or literally indoctrinated that what we’ve sweated blood for, is in reality theirs too?
It’s gotten to the point here in our Country they demand this from us. They do, and this is happening right here in our Country today, they believe they have a right to at least a share of our pie as Mrs. Obama has stated, “We want a bigger piece of the pie!” Redistribution of wealth.
This is what her and her husband did for a great many years, they WERE community organizers. They were involved in a church where the Pastor preached hate rhetoric from the pulpit, and was caught on video several times.
Hate America, Hate White America, Hate the Jews. If you were Black and didn’t believe these views, you were an Uncle Tom, or a want to be White. Yet our President and his family just didn’t hear any of this while they were at the service.
The Governor of Illinois, going to sell a Senate Seat, sell it for God’s sake people! Yet we sat on our haunches and watched a circus, and the man has done no prison time. Her was caught with phone conversations…he did it.
Ah, do you remember whose seat this was? What did he think about this…let me guess? I’d say he didn’t know anything about it, am I right?
Not all of our leaders are this way, a few aren’t, and this isn’t a bash President Obama speech, honestly it’s not, but he sits in the highest office in our land, and it embarrasses me by the agenda he’s pushing, while we the people keep taking it, over and over, and over.
Let me state though, we have many Republicans, just as bad, just as corrupt, just as arrogant, and just as deceitful as many on the other side of the aisle…so wakeup. Ever heard of good cop, bad cop?
This is what politics in our Country has become today. They want it all.
How many times have you heard our President state, “We’re going to bring jobs back to our Country?” This is an untruth. We continue to drive jobs out of our Country. They continue to do this, and our Country becomes, weaker, and weaker, and weaker.
He’s now talking about taxing only the rich, not the “regular people.” Really? What share of the price you pay at the gas pump is a federal tax. How about your phone bill? Taken a look at the federal tax in that lately? You might want to, if you haven’t already.
How about your power bill, your food bill, building a house, buying a boat? What does “city water” cost you a month? School tax, income tax, property tax, on and on and on. They’re speaking about an odometer in your car so they can then tax the miles you drive?
So, if looking at the big picture…only the “RICH” are going to be taxed. I don’t think so. Plus, a family making $250,000 a year…aren’t rich. Most are running a business, and the “NET,” is far, far less than the “GROSS,” but that isn’t figured into the equation.
The most appalling thing to me today in regards to our Country, is the open flaunting of socialist agendas, and having socialist members of our House and Senate here in the United States of America. Plus, it goes higher than that. This is literally sickening isn’t it, or is it just me?
I’ll tell you all this today, and this is exactly how I feel. We need a leader! We need a leader of men, a leader with conviction, a leader with our Country at heart. I’m tired, tired people, of our politicians telling lie, after lie, after bald-faced lie on the campaign trail!
They treat us like that, but LOOK AT THEIR ENTITLEMENTS!” Healthcare, Retirement Packages, Lump Sum Payoffs upon retirement, then returning to another government job, or even the same job…al at the cost to you and I, the taxpayer.
Please read this if you would…this is a good example, documented, of what our government is costing us today. (Canada Free Press, May 17, 2010). Please, let these numbers sink in. There is no way this can continue, none at all. The sad part of this, is this is only a pittance of what you and I, the taxpayer are faced with.
I don’t mind paying a tax…I do mind being stolen from, and people they, and their followers, mainly clueless, are literally stealing us blind!
We’re a better Country, and we’re a better people than this. A man’s word is his bond, and our leaders don’t even know the meaning of such a statement. I’m tired of the politics, the political correctness, and the double talk from our politicians.
I want a man of high morals, a believer in God, a man of virtue and morals. A man who is a man of his word, and who doesn’t give one hoot about somebody else’s feelings, or what the media thinks when he’s calling somebody out on the carpet. I want the man who has all these traits to be the man deciding for we the people…what’s right and what’s wrong!
I’d like to see a man who is not afraid to grab the bull by the horns and turn this Country and Washington around. I’d like to see a man who is truly a great American, and a man I believe we could trust. We heard about change during the last election, didn’t we? If we had a man in the White House we could trust, then that’s what I’d call change, and I’d be proud to call it so!
There is a man out there today who I feel loves this Country, loves our people, upholds true values based upon what our Country is founded upon. A man who would love to see our Country restored to its greatness in the world. He understands foreign policy, and what makes the economy tick.
He understands the danger of entitlement programs, and believes America should go back to work, not sit home and let Washington “take care of you.”
If you would, please watch a couple videos of this man. See if you are impressed by his outlook for our Country. He stands by his statements, and doesn’t mind calling someone out on the carpet. He believes in God, and is very concerned by the “weakness” shown by our leaders anymore.
I know many, many, many of you know of this man, but if not…watch these videos, and more importantly, share them!
So this Easter, once again pray for our Country. Pray for the strength to play your own role in getting God back into our lives, and back into our beliefs as a Country! Pray for our troops who preserve our freedoms. But once again, pray for the strength that will enable we the people to again become the voice of our Nation.
