HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL…and a couple videos:

Good morning guys, and welcome back to Ridin Out the Recession!

Well, I don’t know about the rest of ya’ll, but dad-gum, I sure can’t believe another year has bout come…and gone! Isn’t it crazy how fast time goes by anymore?? It just clicks right by, doesn’t it?

I guess the only thing I can attribute this to is age?? Ole Deb keeps getting older, and the dern years have started runnin by us like water off a duck’s back.

Let us take a minute this morning to tell you guys how much your friendship, comments, tips, concern, and prayers have meant to us.

When we started this, we really weren’t sure what to expect. But in just a short period of time, we realized that regardless of the shape of our Country, and about the only news we see on just about any broadcast isn’t good, you guys stepped up and shown Deb and I both, that there is still a tremendous amount of people out there that are truly good and caring!

We just can’t say thank you enough. Ya’ll have truly been a blessing that came into our lives! We were astounded by you guys reaching out to us and sharing your own lives with us. To be honest, there’s been days where we weren’t quite “up to snuff,” and I swear, that would be the days we’d receive an e-mail, or comment from ya’ll that just inspired us both! Thanks again!

Now, to all of you, we’d like you to know that Deb and I would like to wish everyone of you a very Happy New Years, and may 2012 be the best year any of you have ever experienced! Also, we wish you all the very best in all things! May God be with you!

Now, I know you are busy, so I’ll keep this short and sweet. Here’s 3 videos we did and we’d like to share them with you…

The first, we were sitting on our porch and a doe came up and was eatin by the pond. How blessed we are to live where we see things such as this.

The second video was made for a lady in Louisiana who had just dug a pond and had built a dock. I teased her about building a dock to quickly, because if you aren’t SURE where the water level will end up…your dock may end up…under water.

A good example of this was up at my Mom and Dad’s place. They built a new toll road up not far from them, and they bought a BUNCH of dirt for the road from Dad. It was an old lake bottom, so they got a new lake out of the deal.

The only problem…Dad built his dock too quick, and ended up with three docks…one right ON TOP of the other.

Now in this video my brother pulls up, I pan the camera over on him and dern, he was smoking. We had a couple people comment…”DUB, WHAT WAS HE SMOKING?? Well, after watching the video again, I saw what they were talking about!! SO, I’m just here to tell you, IT AIN’T WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE…and again it ain’t.

My Dad has NEVER smoked in his life and it would just aggravate the fire out of him that my brother Shane and I did. Well, Shane quit about 2-3 months ago, or told Dad anyway that he had, so when I threw the camera on him, he had a Marlboro Light in his hand, and was worried about Mom showing Dad the video. Deb and I were rolling laughing after we saw it, but again…it is a Marlboro.

Dad will get on his rearend if he found out that Shane had professed to him he’d quit, but hadn’t. He’s only worried though about him for health reasons, but I’d give a Ben Franklin to be sittin there with Dad if he saw this video.

So Dad, if you see this, it’s not Shane smoking, but only…”Trick photography!” LOL!!

The last video is of Christmas morning at my Mom and Dad’s. It also shows some of his orange grove, and a shot or two of the “greening” that is taking place down here in Florida in regards to the groves. Greening is ruining many groves, and I’ll talk about this some in another post.

We hope you enjoy the videos!

You guys have a great day, and once more…HAPPY NEW YEARS!

God Bless you all, and Deb says, “Keep a smile on your face, and one in your heart!

Happy New Year…right back at ya!! Yep, you are so right that we do all indeed need to pray that this year does get better! We start reiterating “In God We Trust,” in our Country again, and thinks will get better! VOTE in 2012!!

I kinda like this, I heard it the other day… “All the oil may be in Texas…but all the dipsticks are in DC!”

Thanks my friend, and wishing you and yours the very best in all things!!
