<p><strong> OBAMA’S SELECTIVE MEMORY OF SUPREME COURT HISTORY…….</strong><em>”Ultimately, I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress. And I’d just remind a conservative commentator that for years what we have heard is, the biggest problem on the bench was judicial activism or lack of judicial restraint, that an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law. Well, this is a good example, and I am confident that this Court will recognize that and not take that step.” </em>(April 2, 2012)</p>
<p><em>“Let me be very specific. We have not seen a Court overturn a law that was passed by Congress on an economic issue, like health care, that I think most people clearly consider commerce &#8211; a law like this has not been overturned at least since the 30’s, pre-New deal.” “And the point I was making is that the Supreme Court is the final say on our Constitution and our laws, and all of us have to respect it, but it’s precisely because of that extraordinary power the Court has traditionally exercised significant restraint and deference to our duly elected legislature, our Congress. And the sole burden is on those who would overturn a law like this.”  </em>   (Obama, clarifying comments he made the previous day, April 3)</p>
<p>    President Obama made these remarks during a series of a high-profile news conference, taking the unusual step of commenting on a Supreme Court case, the challenge to the Affordable Care Act, while the justices were still deliberating.</p>
<p><span id="more-1491"></span></p>
<p><strong> YOU WILL NOT FIND IN THE CONSTITUTION………..</strong>Judge Harvie Wilkinson, a Reagan appointee to the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, is a courtly Virginian who conveys a manner as soft as a Shenandoah breeze.  He has written a book, <em>Why Americans are Losing Their Inalienable Rights to self-Government,</em> in which he takes on issues of the Constitution, pro and con.  I wish to quote parts of his thoughts: <em>“The Constitution is a companion of the Declaration of Independence, and should be construed as an implementation of the Declaration’s premises, Government exists not to confer rights but to secure pre-existing rights…The constitution is a Document, one understood, as America’s greatest jurist, John Marshall, said, chiefly from its words.  And those words are to be construed in the bright light cast by the Declaration. [Wilkinson] worries] about judges causing an ever increasing displacement of democracy. Also most worrisome, is the displacement of liberty by democracy in the form of majorities indifferent to or hostile to what the Declaration decrees, a separate sphere of individual sovereignty.” </em></p>
<p><strong> ANOTHER GOVERNMENT REGULATION?&#8230;&#8230;.</strong>While typing the above, I heard an announcement over the TV, that the government was contemplating a regulation as to “what farmers’ kids can or cannot do, even to the limit as to how many square feet of grass can be cut.  There were additional examples which I cannot remember, but I am sure there will be some news coverage……..What we need is Buck Rogers and his robots.</p>

<p><strong>DISHONESTY OBAMA STOCK IN TRADE……</strong>While dishonesty is aberrant to most Americans, for Obama it is a finely tuned art form.  He has been practicing it from day one.  From his empty promises of civility, transparency and uniting America, to the way he finagled the cost of Obama Care, he has divided the country and constantly demagogues’ dissenters.  His latest masterpiece occurred in Cushing, Oklahoma, where he attempted to create the illusion that he is NOW FOR the Keystone Pipeline, a project he just recently vetoed and lobbied against.  He blithely announced that he was “fast tracking” one small portion of this pipeline, from Cushing to the Gulf Coast, knowing full well that this was already a done deal despite his administration doing everything it can to delay the actual work&#8230; It is a sorry attempt to woo almost 70% of Americans who favor the entire pipeline, and to deflect attention from the now $4/gallon gas price and his failed energy projects.</p>
<p>He likes to claim we need to create alternative energy because <strong>we only have 2%, or 2.2 million barrels, of the world’s oil.  Yet his own Department of Energy says we really have 1.6 trillion barrels of recoverable oil; not counting for our abundance of gas, we have enough oil for at least 200 years.</strong>  <strong>The “kicker” to all these misleading STATEMENTS is that our liberal media allow the Obama Administration to get away with not informing the public of the real facts.  The media is more interested in helping Obama get re-elected than “constantly “reporting the facts.” Hard to tell who is more dishonest, the President or the media.</strong></p>
<p><strong>FAREWELL TO THE NEW FRONTIER……..</strong>As the space shuttle Discovery flew three time around Washington, a final salute before landing at Dulles airport for retirement to a museum, thousands on the ground gazed upward with marvel and pride.  Yet what they were witnessing, for all its elegance, was a funeral march.  The shuttle was being carried because it can no longer fly.  Its pallbearer was a 747. The pity is not Discover’s retirement, beautiful as it was.  The shuttle proved it was too expensive and too risky to operate; the pity is it died without a successor.  The planned follow up; the Constellation rocket capsule programmed to take humans back into orbit and from there to the moon, was suddenly cancelled in 2010.  And with that, control of manned space flight was gratuitously ceded to Russia and China.  Who cares, you say, when we are in economic distress?  But if we are talking jobs and growth, science, and technology, R&#038;D and innovation, what Obama insists are the keys to “an economy built to last”, why on earth cancel an incomparable, sophisticated, uniquely American technological enterprise? </p>
<p>Neil Armstrong, James Lovell and Gene Cernan are deeply skeptical.  In a 2010 open letter, they called Obama’s cancellation of Constellation a <em>“devastating decision that destines our nation to become one of the second or third rate nations.”  </em>This is why museum visits to the embalmed Discovery will be sad, indeed.  America rarely retreats from new frontiers, yet today we cannot even do what John Glenn did in 1962, let alone fly a circa-1980 shuttle. ……….Discovery will lie intact, a magnificent and melancholy rebuke to constricted horizons. <p><strong>OUR DO NOTHING CONGRESS……..</strong>Any suggestion of doing something positive about the conditions of our country get nowhere, as every elected person is afraid to step forward in fear that it may cost him/her a vote in the coming election………without a scandal or two, they are sitting, watching the clock and the debt numbers….why in hell don’t they take the time they are wasting, go fishing, without pay of course……..OH, SURE!!!!!! </p>
<p><strong>TREASURY’S RUN AROUND DeMARCO, TAPPING TARP TO PAY FANNIE MAE FOR ANOTHER HOUSING BAILOUT……….</strong>If you can’t roll over Ed DeMarco, run around him.  That is the latest ploy of Obama’s as he tries to arrange one more election-year housing bailout. Mr. DeMarco is the career civil servant who drew the “short straw” and ended up as the acting chief of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) which oversees Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  He is legally bound to balance three priorities: preserve and conserve Fan &#038;Fred’s assets to protect the taxpayers, keep the institutions running while Congress figures what to do next, and to maximize assistance to homeowners to minimize foreclosure. The last imperative isn’t supposed to come at the expense of the other two.</p>
<p>But don’t tell that to the Obama Administration, which has been hounding Mr. DeMarco to unleash Fan and Fred to write down principals on millions of home mortgages.  DeMarco has resisted on grounds that it would hurt taxpayers.  For this effrontery, Democrats in Congress have tried to get DeMarco ”fired”, and even New York Federal Reserve Chief, Bill Dudley, has lectured his fellow regulator to get with the Obama program.  Treasury Secretary Geithner joined the pressure campaign, telling the Senate there is a strong economic case for write-downs in some cases because they <em>“might increase the overall recovery of the investor and the tax payer.”</em></p>
<p>Since Mr. DeMarco won’t budge, Treasury is now proposing an offer they believe he cannot refuse.  The Administration wants to take a chunk of the $20.9 billion leftover TARP funds and use it to subsidize mortgage write downs through its Home Affordable Modification Program.  About 80% of borrowers with Fannie and Freddie backed loans are under water, with a home worth less than the mortgage, but who still make their monthly payments.  Why should taxpayers subsidize people who can afford to pay?  And what happens to those who aren’t current, and receive subsidized money?  My guess is that the home owner who is paying might stop, knowing that the government will reduce their debt.  Contrary to the administration’s guess, Mr. DeMarco told Congress he would consider principal reduction, “if funds become available” to make up for the losses incurred by Fred and Fannie.  Instead of using TARP money to reduce the $1.3 trillion federal deficit, Mr. Geithner now wants to hand it to FHFA so Mr. DeMarco can’t object to principal write downs. Thus even as Mr. DeMarco protects taxpayers from losses at Fred and Fannie, Treasury picks the taxpayers’ pockets through TARP. Treasury and President Obama get their election year bailout without having to fire DeMarco.</p>

<p><strong>VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT, AS A POLITICAL TALKING POINT……….</strong>Left wingers need to preserve the talking point that the Right hates women. The Violence against Women Act, now pending reauthorization in the U.S. Senate, offers a great example how liberals use political “kabuki” to keep the myth alive. The bill is fundamentally flawed and fully deserving of rejection. As the Washington Post reports, “Democrats see the debate over the bill and potential amendments as an opening to continue accusing Republicans of waging war on women’s rights.” In recent weeks the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has used the issue, including the 11 Democratic women running in the Senate races this year, to raise money from supporters. The NY Times reports, that Republican Senator Murkowski has urged Republicans to surrender on this issue. No one disputes that violence against women is a problem, and one that has to be addressed by law enforcement.  But crimes of violence are meat and potatoes  issues for state and local enforcement, and Our Founders had set up the Republic with that idea in mind…….James Madison wrote in the, “ Federalist 45 that <em>the powers of the federal government are limited and the powers remaining in the state are numerous.”</em></p>
<p> The Heritage Foundation notes, <em>“That despite the fact that each state has its own statutes that punish domestic violence, the federal government intervened in 1994 with the Violence against Women Act. The President AND Congress may feel better by passing this law, but the federal government is not supposed to waste federal resources on issues more properly dealt with by the state and local governments.” </em>The pending legislation before the Senate, S1925, vastly increases the rights of the federal government, which in turn creates another subject to dispute, and the liberals have loaded this bill with provisions meant to bait conservatives’ politicians.</p>
<p>What we need is more women in Congress, there are many, many well qualified women in business and politics that have to rise to the top, our country needs the balance of a Margret Thatcher, Eleanor Roosevelt, Golda Meier, Meg Whitman, Sarah Palin, Carly Florina, Jeanne Fitzpatrick and many more………I would be amiss if I didn’t include part of a Mark Twain’s speech on “Votes for Women”…<em>”I should like to see the time come when women shall help make the laws. I should like to see that whip-lash, the ballot, in the hands of women. As for this city’s government, I don’t want to say much, except that it is a shame-a-shames: but if I should live twenty five years longer, and there is no reason why I shouldn’t, I think I shall see the women handle the ballot. If women had the ballot to-day, the state of things in this town would not exist. If all the women in this town had a vote to-day they would elect a mayor at the next election, and they would rise in their might and change the awful state now existing here”  </em></p>
<p><strong>MOOSE SKOWRON, FIVE TIMES World Series champion dies at the age of 81….. </strong>Moose was one of the two players who hit three homers in the seventh game of a World Series.; Yogi Berra was the other player. Born, William Joseph Skowron on Chicago’s north side; he said he was given the name “Mussolini” when his grandfather cut his hair at the age of 7 that caused his friends to call him “Mussolini” the knick name was  changed as the war ended&#8230; He was an All Star with the Yankees from 1957-1961 an All Star again in 1965.  He was a class act throughout his career, and a pretty good first baseman…..   </p>
<p>Originally I was going to use this space for “comments from our readers”, but I have been reading about one  of the government’s “scams” that has my blood boiling, that needs attention……..FRESHMAN CLASS PRESIDENT…Obama (and Congress) rocks the youth vote by soaking the taxpayers……..This past week the President toured college campuses in state critical to his re-election. And thanks to an aggressive interpretation of Federal law, it now seems that both parties are trying to get around this law. The obvious  political  play is to shore up  support among the college-age voters who are faced with an increase on their loans, from 3.4% to 6.8%, starting in July 1, 2012, which amounts to about $6 billion dollars, which both parties would like to freeze for one year, which Obama suggests raising taxes to cover the “freeze” ( It took me several years to pay off the loans that helped two of my children&#8217;s education) and now the taxpayers are faced with a TRILLION DOLLAR DEBT, TO PAY OFF OTHER CHILDREN’S EDUCATION DEBT.. The real beneficiaries are ten colleges, whose fees have risen with the increase in the student body, and the prompt payment by the government for the benefit of the student.</p>
<p>The interest rate sounds serious; after all there are 39 million Americans with student loans, which the student made voluntary taking on as an investment to benefit themselves. Federally subsidized loans are handed out to millions of college students regardless of risk. Thanks to taxpayer backing the loans are far below what private lenders would offer. When the student can’t afford to pay, the American people are stuck with the bill. Bankruptcy laws should be reviewed, perhaps like a home mortgage, spread over 25 /39 years, since bankruptcy not available to discharge a student loan. There are about 18 million students enrolled in about 5,000 colleges and universities, and when one checks, he will find that the colleges and universities have determinate badly, when graduation finally arrives, an unacceptable amount of students have actually learned very little, find themselves unable to find a job and yet find themselves trapped in a student “debt loan debt hell” for sensually for the rest of their lives. A debt total that exceeds the credit card debt, automobile loans, except the home owners mortgage.</p>
<p> Finally closure time, all above may be very confusing, which can happened when one is pissed, and I am PISSED……The scam was that the government promoted an education for everyone who could walk, talk and chew gum at the same time, and there were far too many that had boom boxes, cell phones and a lack of ambition, relying that the government will pay for their tuition, and like many of our “projects”, payback time is not in their vocabulary, including those in government who forgot the rules, just as long as the “student” could sign his name on the ballot box. Anxious to see how this matter is discharged, before Election Day, I am sure…………<strong>TERM LIMITS, TERM LIMITS, TERM LIMITS!! UNLESS YOU ARE HAPPY WITH A $16 TRILLION DEBT AND COUNTING…….</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hello every one. How are you guys this morning? We hope all are well and in good health and spirits. It’s Friday once again, and Lord knows, I have no idea where this past week has gone? Time flies!</p>
<p>Once more, I find myself torn in regards to our Country today. Again, Deb and I would like nothing better than to talk about gardening, canning food, tell a few jokes, and in general just keep a big smile on our faces about 90% of the time.</p>
<p>But, I have to ask each of you today…where, when, and how did our Country “jump its tracks?”</p>
<p>How did the term “Merry Christmas” become offensive? How did we lose our industrial might? How did the act of disciplining your OWN child, by the way, become a crime, and an act to not be tolerated by our, “lawmakers?” </p>
<p>Again, I’m not talking abuse, I’m merely speaking of disciplining YOUR child…NOT THEIRS!</p>
<p>Today, it seems that teaching our children at home the values of morals, character, honesty, a work ethic, and respect, not just for themselves, but others as well, is wrong.</p>

<p>Oh, I don’t want to leave out religious values as well! Man, oh man, I AM treading on thin ice this morning, huh? The audacity of me to speak of religious freedom! At the mention of such, I’m probably labeled an extremist by our administration! </p>
<p>Good night…I better start showing a little restraint in speaking on such topics! A belief in God?? Honestly, I don’t know what came over me?? If I offended anyone, please…forgive me! Yeah right!</p>
<p>Who decides all this? Our elected leaders pushing THEIR agendas and ideology, of course! </p>
<p>Yeah, you know, the very same people who literally exude such qualities, and practice them daily…morals, ethics, virtue, respect, and probably their strongest trait would obviously have to be…HONESTY! </p>
<p>WHAT?? You don’t believe for one minute my last statement? </p>
<p>Good for you.  I see you’ve not bought into their agendas, or their indoctrinations of our Country’s citizens, through their “fight for the poor and oppressed,” as they like to call it! </p>
<p>Through the buying of your votes, they offer you…an existence, that’s it. The opportunity to supply you with JUST enough to keep you…alive. YET, they ARE the great crusaders of the poor! </p>
<p>They’re the great crusaders alright, though the only crusading they’re doing is crusading for the destruction of our Country as we know it, and leading us down the path of economic ruin, religious blasphemy, and the takeover of our society as a whole!</p>
<p>This people…is social justice or social equality. When they’ve taken away our freedoms, our jobs, our religious values, and our family unit, THIS…is social justice!</p>
<p>To the people who don’t understand this, redistribution of wealth is not that at all. It is…the redistribution of…P-O-V-E-R-T-Y! </p>
<p>OUR poverty, and our leaders P-O-W-E-R! Total control!</p>
<p>Control over our assets, our freedoms, our children, our ability to make and earn a living, our religion, and our living in the greatest Country on this earth…gone… kaput!</p>
<p>How is all this SO difficult for others to see? This amazes me! The very selling of your souls through accepting a mere pittance to what type of life you COULD provide for your family through a good, solid work ethic. The sky literally being the limit to what you COULD do, IF, you’d only apply yourself.</p>
<p>The worst part of this to me in regards to these types of people? The selling of their OWN children’s souls as well. Those poor guys will never experience any type of lifestyle than one of…poverty. Sold out by…their own parents, for God’s sake.</p>
<p>As a child, your whole being is shaped by your surroundings. If you’ve been taught the traits I listed above, value, respect, etc., 9 times out of 10, you stand a very good chance of being successful in your own right.</p>
<p>BUT, if you’ve not been taught, or brought up in that type of environment, but one in which you have been indoctrinated that you SHOULD and WILL, get a check every month, then that’s what you’ll accomplish in life. The ability to walk to the mailbox, take out “Your Entitlement,” and that’s about it.</p>
<p>Your contribution to your Country and society…absolutely nothing! Then, when the money runs out, AND IT WILL, you go to the mailbox and…NO CHECK! Well what happened?? WHERE’S MY CHECK? I WANT MY CHECK! </p>
<p>Sorry, because now, through YOUR burdening the taxpayer, our governments uncontrollable spending, and our politicians belief that they too are “ENTITLED, and ABOVE” the law, AND we the people, our dollar has finally tanked! </p>
<p>NO MORE FREE MONEY, no more money period. No more entitlements, except for the truly entitled…the powers that be! Our leaders will have in fact brought you down to the level of…TRUE SOCIAL JUSTICE, or EQUALITY!</p>
<p> Welcome to the New World Order! </p>
<p>Our leaders will have accomplished their goal. They will have become…the power, and through this power, they will now be very rich, excessively rich, and all the very things they told you they were against, and what made America evil! They were looking out for YOU! </p>
<p>So you’ll soon see it wasn’t about big business, Wall Street, or the greed and corruption of the capitalist system. </p>
<p>Yes, IT WAS about greed and corruption, but the greed and power of our politicians own corruption, and their destroying our economic system through taxation, government regulation, and unionization.</p>
<p>It is coming to us people, if we don’t snap out of this funk DC has lulled us into. Honestly my friends, do you REALLY believe that what your friend or neighbor has worked, and slaved for to better his own way of life is part yours too?</p>
<p>How and what, could possibly convince you of that? I know, I know, this has been taught to you through our politicians, but search your own souls, I mean seriously, you HAVE to see this is wrong, don’t you?  If not, then put in into another perspective for a moment. </p>
<p>What if Deb and I showed up on YOUR doorstep the day you receive your “entitlement check?” What if we demanded that you give part of your check to us? Would you? Would our demand for “our part” anger you? Why?</p>
<p>Would our getting part of your “entitlement” cut you short in purchasing the things you and your own family need? Is that right of us in doing so? Of course not. </p>
<p>You can’t find a job? How come? You think it just MIGHT be the fault of your leaders whom you vote for, time and again, and their agenda in not supplying jobs to Americans, but getting more and more Americans  onto government aid?</p>
<p>So in reality, the loss of our jobs here in the US, and OUR jobs going overseas, is once again, not because of capitalism as they lead you to believe, but simply because of THEIR OWN GREED. Actually, they couldn’t give a “hoot in he..,” for you, or your family. It is ALL about them!</p>

This Entertainment ICON became a hero to all stroke victims.  He had a debilitating stroke in 2004, and had to learn how to talk and walk again….often with great difficulty. Some people thought this was in bad taste.  “This New Year was to be a celebration. I don’t want to see someone in that condition.“ So said the Director of the Blier Center for Television at Syracuse University.  Dr. Larry Goldstein of Duke University said Dick was a teaching tool for stroke victims. He missed the 2004 New Year’s celebration, but was back for the 2005 celebration, along with is appointed heir apparent, Ryan Seacrest.</p>

<p><strong>THE HMS TITANIC SANK 100 YEARS AGO THIS PAST APRIL 10th, MOST AMERICANS AND THOSE OF THE BRITISH SEA WORLD REMEMBER THIS TRAGEDY. </strong> On its maiden voyage the ship that was supposed to be unsinkable struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic.  Over 1,500 people died; most records indicate that only those 712 who were in lifeboats survived. They survived because of a heroic captain and crew who were hours away from the point where the Titanic went down.  The story about the rescue ship and its crew is one that I never knew about.  Once I read it, the event became so courageous.  The millions of people who have seen the movie would be interested in the event that took place when a startling message was received by the RMS Carpathian’s only radio operator, Harold Coltam, who had been working longer than his normal shift: “SOS Titanic calling. We have struck ice and request immediate assistance.” The Carpathian’s first officer burst into Captain Arthur Rostrum’s cabin, who had just retired for the night.  In seconds Rostrum was in the chart room, plotting a course to race to the side of the stricken Titanic.  Normally, Carpathian could make 14 knots; by diverting every particle of steam, it might make 17 knots, and even so it would take hours to catch up.  Rostrum ordered the crew to prepare to receive passengers from the Titanic. It was important that the Carpathian’s 700 passengers would not panic when they were sent to various cabins, and to try to keep warm as possible. If the orders given by Captain Rostrum were not carried out, the Titanic disaster could have ended more tragically.  But it didn’t.  The 712 Titanic passengers in the life boats were all saved; all those seamen with life jackets were dead.  Had those in the life boats been exposed to the frigid weather for another hour they, too, would have perished.  Captain Rostrum received the Gold Congressional Medal from a grateful America.  Home in England he was knighted. </p>

In 1950, white men constituted 98 % of House Democrats, a figure that fell to 53% following the 2010 elections.  Predictions for the 2012 elections indicate that the House Democratic Caucus will be 46% to 48% white males.  Congress is already polarized, with fewer common threads uniting the two parties.  Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics, told a group, “When you have two parties so divergent in views, regions, and genders, the culture wars could escalate from conventional to nuclear weapons.”…..Signs of the changing times, for the good, or not, for the future of the United States?</p>

<p><strong>GEORGE W. BUSH: BARACK OBAMA’S BEST FRIEND IN THE 2012 ELECTIONS……</strong>.Politico reports that George W. Bush is laying low these days, avoiding the spotlight that recently shone on his father and brother Jeb as they endorsed Mitt Romney.  This relationship between the post-Bush GOP is quite fascinating.  It is like a crazy, drunk uncle shooting an epileptic dog because he had fleas.  The Democrats will be spending time and money talking about Bush, “in his self-imposed political exile.”  They continue to promote Roosevelt’s jobs creation that went from 24% unemployed to near zero at the height of the war……………..Watch out Democrats, Obama’s job record is the worse in history, based on his programs, will probably continue, compounded by the huge spending and debt programs, without any signs of improving, unless one believes his “lies“, and there is a new one every day the sun rises.</p>
<p><strong>A STABLE AFGhANISTAN IS STILL POSSIBLE</strong> [are you kidding?...ed.]…………There is no easy victory in sight in Afghanistan, but we are closer to accomplishing our goals than many assume.  By late 2014, it will no longer be necessary to keep significant numbers of combat troops there. The good news is that the Obama appears unlikely to waiver any time soon. (Now, that is refreshing news.)  U.S. officials have declared that no further drawdowns are anticipated until the current one which will bring U.S. troops down to 68,000 from 100,000 by the end of September.  In particular, we must see what develops in the east, where this year’s anti-insurgency efforts will most likely occur.  However, this is a political year; a steady White House should not be assumed to last indefinitely into the future.  There is no question that NATO and the Afghan governments have plenty of problems, with the Taliban still hanging around.  President Karzai’s government is a corrupt puppet that will fail once the NATO troops depart.  Mr. Karzai is still a problem.  We cannot afford a repeat of 2009 undemocratic presidential election; Mr. Obama’s handling this situation was his biggest mistake in “his” war, to date. If we had no business being in IRAQ, we should be mad as hell over why we are in this s—t hole of a country that has fought the Russians to a standstill for over 10 years.</p>
<p><strong>OBAMA’S SUPER-CZAR IS ON THE LOOSE…………</strong>in keeping with the dark and defiant habits of this administration, the new head of the half-billion dollar Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was sworn in behind closed doors. The nomination of former Democrat Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray to serve as Dodd-Frank regularity enforcer had been soundly beaten in the Senate just before Christmas.  As reported by Michelle Malkin last month, progressive zealots funded by George Soros goaded Obama to ignore the Senate’s constitutional grounded advice and consent role.  The GOP knew in advance what Obama planned on doing a month ago, and is now scrambling to respond.  Republicans will get clobbered with the class warfare card again, unless they forcefully counter the Democrat’s narrative of the President’s “bold action for middle class Americans.”  As Senate Republicans have been pointing out for months, Dodd-Frank threw out judicial review, removed CFPB from the congressional appropriations process, provided five-year tenure protection for the director, and transferred the Agency from the Treasury Department to the opaque and unaccountable Federal Reserve. This maneuver is about consolidating bureaucratic authority and granting unprecedented immunity to a single Super-Cop from congressional and public oversight.</p>
<p><strong>REID ELECT MITT ROMNEY?&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..</strong>Will the Senate Democrats’ leader, a Mormon as is Romney, be the inadvertent shield for the religious bigotry card liberals, in particular MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, who are itching to turn it into the ultimate election weapon?&#8230;&#8230;.Unbelievable as you would think it to be, MSNBC has now seen another of its hosts ramp up on religious bigotry…O’Donnell is on a tear about Romney’s Mormon faith…not Harry Reid’s Mormon faith, just Romney’s.  Do the two men belong to the same Mormon faith?  Doubtless it is because Reid’s membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is largely unknown to the American electorate.  An electorate that is about to have Romney’s membership in the very same Mormon faith as Reid’s, the man the Democrats have repeatedly chosen to be the U.S. Senate Majority Leader, will have his faith thrown in his face as a reason not to elect a President Romney. O’Donnell has raised the obvious question: if Harry Reid belonged to a racially exclusive club [note: the Mormon Church did not admit other races until Reid was 39 years old], why in the world has this man been elected by the Democrats to be their leader in the United States Senate?</p>

<p> <strong>JACKIE ROBINSON DAY IS CELEBRATED EVERY YEAR ON APRIL 15………</strong>.Players, managers, umpires all wore No. 42 on their uniforms, which were duplicates of those worn 65 years ago, a date when the future Hall of Famer first appeared as the second baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947.  This celebration was conducted in every ball park in the country.  With the exception of Mariana Rivera, a future Hall of Famer, the number 42 was retired 15 years ago on the anniversary of Robinson’s debut as the first Negro to play in the Major Leagues.  In 1975, 27% of major league players were African-Americans; today there are about 8%&#8230;Somewhere in the early ‘50s I saw Jackie steal home, which at the time was a very “daring” feat, and which is a rare event in today’s game.. In checking the records, I found that Ty Cobb led the league for those who stole home at least 10 times, with Ty Cobb at the top with 54, followed by Max Carey with 33, and Robinson had 19.  Records show that a total of 38 batters, who hit more than 10 homers and who played more than 10 games, stole home 640 times, including Babe Ruth who stole home 10 times.  Soon after Robinson, the pitchers changed their style of delivery; prior to that point in time, the pitchers used a full wind-up, giving the runner a lead time.  Even Vince Scully, 84, who called the Dodger games for 7 years, got out of bed and showed why he was the voice of the Dodgers (after Red  Barber) in honor of Jackie Robinson. </p>

<p>You know that Deb and I are pretty simple people. We love our Country, we love our land, we love the freedoms and liberties we’ve always enjoyed as American citizens. We believe that we live in the greatest Country on earth, but, today we see too many far-left leanings that are literally putting our entire way of life as American citizens at risk…very, very serious risk.</p>
<p>Shoot, I’d like to talk today about a dern garden, how the vegetables are doing, how fine Deb’s been coming along, and just sit around and “shoot the bull” with you guys!</p>
<p>But today in our Country there are things we need to make people aware of. How does this happen, well, by talking about it. I don’t enjoy speaking to you guys from a political perspective in the least, BUT, I do feel it’s something that needs to be done. So, let’s talk a little…</p>
<p>Today I’d like to talk about the pricing Deb and I are seeing, not only at the grocery store, and the gas pump, but pretty much just about anything you purchase today. It’s really getting tough out there. </p>
<p>Why is this?</p>

<p>I’d talked with my Mother earlier in the week, and they have quite a few beef cows that my brother oversees on the ranches for her and Dad. First of cattle prices are extremely good, and have been for a while now.</p>
<p>Mom was telling me though that Dad had spoken with some people and they were telling him that the price of hamburger meat could hit $5 per pound, possibly by the end of summer. That to me is unreal. I swear we don’t see how families with 3 to 4 children are continually able to put good meals on the table.</p>
<p>The job markets are down, the pay scales in many cases have dropped substantially, gas is already quite expensive, food prices are rocketing, and it looks as if there’ll be no solution, or downward trend anywhere in the near future.</p>
<p>We were promised “change,” and that’s exactly what we’ve gotten… “change!” Yet, we’re told things are getting better. </p>
<p>Getting better?? Let’s examine just “how better” things HAVE gotten. </p>
<p>Food stamp rolls, or what they like to call, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, has grown over 70% since 2007! 70 %! That is sinful…literally!</p>
<p>Our government has indoctrinated people, generations worth, that they are entitled to a home, a car, a free ride at the supermarket, free power, even phones. Entitled, which is the key word here, to these things. Entitled through the hard work and sacrifice of others…we the taxpayer!</p>
<p>Through this indoctrination, we have, and are destroying any type of work ethic by these people. Why would they want to work, shoot, I can stay at home and get everything I need to exist, but exist being the key word as well.</p>
<p>Through our politicians “kindness in their hearts,” which is a ploy in itself for more power, more greed, and more immorality, they are doling out JUST enough for people “to exist!” Not prosper and be in control of their own lives, but to simply receive enough…to exist. That’s all. </p>
<p>So, in other words the entitled have been caught hook, line and sinker in a trap. A trap instigated, and advocated by our elected officials. Entitled in a real world description would simply be…DEPENDENT! </p>
<p>Dependent upon the very same leaders who have instigated, and set in motion a plan to undermine our Country, our capitalist system and the freedoms and liberties it provides, and thus creating a political system that has taken the power away from “We The People,” and put total power into the hands of these Socialistic indoctrinated officials. </p>
<p>They call this, “social equality,” and even have become audacious enough to even call it… “social JUSTICE!”</p>
<p>The reasoning for many of these “entitlements” today is the destruction of a job market. People, our leaders have sold us out. Very little to no steel industry jobs, manufacturing jobs, or textile jobs. Most gone overseas.</p>
<p>How can you continue to run a business when through government regulation, taxation, and union contracts dictating to the employer how to run your business, what type of pay scale you pay your employees, right down to not being able to fire non-productive workers? </p>
<p>What happens on account of such practices? Just what you’ve been seeing for the last several years…companies moving overseas! Yet, all through his campaign, Obama promised to…keep jobs HERE, in America! This obviously was not his intention in the first place!</p>
<p>Look back again at the Cloward-Piven Strategy…the overwhelming of our economic system. This by not helping to get people OFF welfare rolls, BUT instead getting MORE people ONTO welfare rolls! We now have a 70% increase since 2007. </p>
<p>Although the Democrats took CONTROL of the House and Senate in 2006…this is ole GW’s fault! How stupid can you get?</p>
<p>The total, unabbreviated destruction of our Country is what these, and most other governmentally run projects are actually doing. So, this really isn’t the fault of the recipients of such government sponsored aid, but literally the buying of votes provided to far too many of today’s elected leaders…if that’s what you want to call them. I call them…thieves! </p>
<p>The time wasn’t that far back that their actions were considered treason, and in my humble opinion, that’s exactly what they are…treasonous behavior by the powers that be in our Country today. Our conservative values have been in many ways abandoned by our own party, forget the far left liberals for the time being.</p>
<p>Why? Well, they too have realized the power to be reckoned with by these “Assistance Programs.” Assistance my rear-end, they’re giveaways, and worse yet, are literally, once again, indoctrinational tactics! </p>
<p>BUT, through these “giveaways, they too have come to realize that by creating this following of constituents they too may continue to be re-elected…time, and time again!</p>
<p>This is the main reason for my belief today that ALL elected officials should be limited to two terms! Stop this insanity of allowing “professional politicians” to continue to be able to run for re-election! </p>
<p>Through this, we should also be able to put an end to all these incredible retirement, health care, and pension plans our officials have bestowed upon themselves. These to, (political entitlements)…are stealing from the taxpayer! Again, that’s exactly what it is!</p>
<p>Politics today has become totally about the politicians and their own, and we the people have become almost non-existent. We, the very people who actually engineer our economy through our work ethics, and small business are now the…unworthy’s!</p>
<p>Unworthy of being heard by our politicians, unworthy of being considered by many politicians as influential constituents, unworthy of being considered true blue, dyed in the flesh American citizens but instead, possible extremists, rabble-rousers, and even racists.</p>
<p>We the people have been sold out for…the ILLEGAL immigrants, the gimme something for nothings, the anti-America liberal, and the power in the numbers of such people today. Our politicians, are literally…likkin their lips!</p>
<p> If we continue in the direction we’re headed, they’ll soon have POWER…full, total control power for life, and the destruction of America as we always have known and loved her, just right around the corner! Socialism, Marxism, Communism, whatever they call it, it’s all the same to me, BAD, and it’s headed straight at us!</p>
<p>You want to talk about stealing from the people…through entitlements, political entitlements? Take a peek…</p>
<p>I’ve talked on this before, but in Vernon, California, Bruce Malkenhorst, Sr., who retired in 2005, is a former city administrator and is drawing a yearly pension of, are you ready for this…$509,664.00. Yep, the comma IS in the right spot. </p>
<p>What is that…over $40 thousand a month? Yep!</p>
<p>He was convicted of fraud, and ordered to pay back $105,000.00. Poor guy!</p>
<p>Vernon, Cal., by the way had a population of 112 in 2010. Yep, 112 residents!</p>
<p>Also, in a single year in Vernon, according to media reports and other sources, Eric T. Fresch was paid $1.65 million in 2008. In 2009 O&#8217;Callaghan was paid $785,000, Burnett, $570,000, and Harrison, $800,000. Malkenhorst, Jr. was paid $290,000 in 2008. Malkenhorst Sr. made $600,000.</p>
<p>This is but one example, in ONE city my friends…this goes on everyday all across our Country. Are we all nuts to sit on the sidelines and allow this to happen? Yep, to that question too!<br />
<strong><br />
So you see, I have no doubt that we probably will see $5 per pound hamburger meat.</strong> Why wouldn’t we…it’s all part of the plan. They’re succeeding in overwhelming our system with welfare, oh sorry, I mean, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance, right? </p>
<p>A 70% increase since 2007, in the worst economic times I’ve seen, would have to be considered a check in their column! Who suffers? The entitled? Nope, but we the people, the taxpayers do…we’re the unworthy, yet, we’re also the very same who continue, through taxation, to fund our own demise! Now really, how crazy is that?</p>
<p>Job loss at record highs, and our government not even WANTING to create jobs…why would they? That would mean you’d have control over your own lives then, right? There’s another check in their column!</p>
<p>Our educational system in many cases controlled by the same far left liberals that teach not about how GREAT our Country is, BUT instead, what acts of atrocity are Country COMMITS! Plus they’re teaching social equality, instead of about all the advantages of living in a Country with a capitalist system. </p>
<p>So, through this we’ve lost our children, simply because they’ve received “half an education!” The education the liberals want them to have. There’s another check in their column!</p>
<p>Right down to the mainstream media. They too, no longer even attempt to report the true goings on in our Country today. They’ve sold we the people out as well. Today these media groups report what they’re orchestrated to report…agendas! Once more, a check in their column.</p>
<p>So once more, I see the future of our Country continuing to function as we’ve always enjoyed, fast becoming pretty cloudy. Will we overcome the obstacles put into, or maybe FORCED upon us being a much better description? Honestly, I do.</p>
<p> But, by saying that, it will take the will of the American people to make this happen. So, with that being said, we have work to do my friends. Tireless hours of work in winning an election this go around, that may very well be the most important election of our lives.</p>
<p>Forget the Democrat, Republican picture for a minute, but understand today, far too many from both party’s have totally forgotten that we the people, are in fact their bosses! So, we have to make BOTH PARTY’S understand we WILL hold them accountable!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Once again, I give you my good buddy AP and his take on the political agendas going on in our Country. AP is in his nineties, and a World War II vet, a successful businessman, a father, and grandfather, and in my opinion…a great American.</p>
<p>And now…this edition of… “Revolution…”</p>

<p><strong>THE ANTI-JOBS PRESIDENT…</strong>Obama rejects Keystone XL pipeline, and blames Congress…The central conflict of the Obama Presidency has been  between the jobs and growth crises he inherited and the President’s  hell-for-leather pursuit of his larger social-policy ambitions. The tragedy is that the economic recovery is caught in between, with the second impulse keeps winning. Yesterday came proof positive with the White House’s repudiation of the Keystone XL pipe line, Trans Canada’s $7 billion shovel ready project that would support tens of thousands of jobs if only it could get the requisite U.S. permits. THESE JOBS, APPARENTLY CAN WAIT.</p>

<p>The 1,661 mile pipe line, from Alberta to the refineries in Texas along the Gulf Coast. The State Department, which presides over the Keystone pipe line, because it crosses the 49th parallel, claimed that the two month Congressional deadline was too tight “for the President to determine whether the Keystone  Pipeline is in the nation’s interest” The White House also issued a statement denouncing Congress’s “rushed and arbitrary deadline”, which merely passed with bi-partisan support.”……THIS IS, TO PUT IT POLITELY, A CROCK……..</p>
<p>Keystone XL has been planned for years and only became a political issue after the well-to-do environmental lobby decided to make it a station of the green cross. TransCanada filed its application in 2008, and the State Department determined in 2010 and then  again last year that the project “would have no significant impacts on the environment” following exhaustive studies. Mr. Obama’s own Jobs Council, which released a report, that endorsed an “all-in approach” on energy, including the “profound new opportunities in shale gas and unconventional oil”. The 27 man committee, handpicked by the President,  recommended that he  support, “policies that facilitate the safe , thoughtful and timely development of pipeline, transmission and distribution projects, and they warned that failing to do so, would stall  the engine that could become the PRIME DRIVER OF U.S. JOBS AND GROWTH IN THE DECADES AHEAD………..The EPA chose to intervene anyway, and the political left began to issue ultimatums and demonstrate in front of the White House, so President Obama decided to defer his decision until “AFTER” the elections.</p>
<p>Such green delusions are sad, and Obama’s pandering is sadder, even though everything the country stands to lose is the saddest. When the Republican candidate is chosen, he should make Obama explain why job creation is less important than the people than the people who make a living working for the green anti-industrial complex.</p>
<p>There was a time, not too long ago, when Americans poked fun at Canada for its economic policies.  Nowadays, Canada has it all over the U.S. Take the contrasting political reaction to the proposed oil lines from Canada to the Texas oil refineries off the Gulf. CANADA’S , Joe Oliver, Minister of Natural Resources recently blasted the “radicals” trying to block the project, saying <strong><em>the green movement’s “goal is to stop any major project no matter what the cost to Canadian families in lost jobs and economic growth. No forestry, no gas , no oil, no mining, no more hydraulic dams. Greens attack jet setting celebrities with some of the largest footprints in the world, and then try to lecture Canadians not to develop our natural resources. These groups are willing to sue anyone and everyone to delay the project even further, to the point it becomes comically unviable”…..</em></strong>who ever thought the day would come when Ottawa  would be more pro-growth than the government of the United States.<br />

SOME OVER VIEW OF THE FACTS:</strong> Natural gas is found in many of the same areas of crude oil and is collected through small gathering system and moved to gas processing plants, where the impurities are removed. Including the small piping from the street mains, creating approximately 1.8 MILLION MILES OF PIPING. Oil within the United States, the oil pipelines are divided into two groups, one system is designed for crude oil, the other for refined product lines. First, in areas gathering lines are quite small, usually from 2 to 8 inches in diameter, in areas in which crude is found deep in the earth, there are about 40,000 miles of these small gatherings, all ending in TRUNK LINES, measuring from 8 inches to 42 inches. Refined products of oil, approx., 95,000 MILES of piping are then delivered to large terminals, then distributed by trucks or trains..</p>
<p>Enough (for now) of the latest, “boo-boo,” time to get to other matters, such as tonight’s STATE of DYSFUNCTION…America will watch the work of a rhetorical master with a flair for ILLUSION. Our President will take the floor of the Capital in hopes of laying the groundwork for a political debate on his accomplishments during his present term, and a forecast of all the “goodies” he plans to deliver. Like taxing the so-called rich because they were clever enough to stay within the law, and created vast sums of wealth. One thing for sure it will be “political. </p>
<p>In preparation for the 2012 campaign, term 1 where he stands on emotional appeals, populism. And class warfare, not the shaky ground on his crumbling record. And looking right back at him will be the U.S. Senate, which has for the “1,000 days failed to pass a budget, a total shirking of their fundamental duty as stewards of the tax-payer money.” The President, with flourish, will tell a story through PROGRESSIVE EYES, about where “fairness” takes on a new meaning, where America’s core values are brushed aside, where the truth of a failed presidency is forgotten but the soaring deficits, depths  of unemployment, or miles of job killing regulations that his administration has wrought.</p>
<p>This sort of Progressivism has its roots in 100 years of history and 100 years of failure.. No need to look back to the history books to see the proof. One only has to see the President’s record of the past three years. You have eyes and ears, that connect to a “brain” that hopefully will decide whether this President has fulfilled his promises made during the past 3 years.</p>
<p><strong>PATERNO DIES at the age of 85…</strong>The man known by the Pennsylvania State University as “JoePa” will be remembered both for his  dependency career leading one of college football never to be forgotten coaches. He was in charge for 46 years, starting in 1966, earned him 409 victories, earning him football’s win ingest coach, a pair of national titles and a spot in the College Football Hall of Fame, During his time at Penn State, he and his wife, had donated an estimated $4 million  dollars to the University. His Netanya Lions were also held up as a rare marquee football program that won without having been found guilty of major violations. The press labeled Paterno’s Lions as “Linebacker U” for their defenses prowess and their success in placing linebackers in the National Football League. Dressed in basic blue and white uniforms with no name on the back of the uniform, the Dittany Lions played the game in the old-schooled fundamental football. Beaver Stadium swelled to a seating capacity of over 100,000 seats. There were great coaches in the past, Bowen, Bryant, Schnellenberger, Stagg, Holtz and many more, but there will never be the group who spent most of their careers at one school, a ND produced great players and teams. The game has changed, as has the coaches, the players and the rules, there never be another Joe Paterno!</p>
<p><strong>AS IRAQ IGNITES, CLERIC SEEKS GAIN…</strong>AMID RESUMED Conflict, Ex-MILITANT SADR, Shiite LEADER AND ALLY OF IRAN, AIMS TO CLIMB TO THE TOP OF THE FRAY AS PEACEMAKER…</p>
<p>Shiite cleric, Moqtada al-Sadr, who  waged  a bloody insurgency against Americans for over eight years, now presides over one of the county’s most organized and influential political groups, a cause of concern for America and all other religious groups. This past two weeks, amid a power struggle has threatened to bring down the Yaqui government… Mr. Sadr has sought to rise above the fray by calling for a referendum on his own, Sadr joined talks in Iran with Turkey’s Foreign Minister who was on his way to try to ease tensions in the Middle East…during his meeting, a series of bombings killed at least 69 Shiite areas in Iraq&#8212;attacks that appeared aimed at goading M. Sadr’s followers back into a war that would make Iraq ungovernable, (especially since the President removed all of President Bush’s remaining troops, leaving 5,000-10,00 troops to police to make sure the Iraqis have a chance to organize a strong government, or must we wait for another General Marshall&#8230;who knows what might have developed if some of our troops were not left behind in Europe and Japan).</p>
<p>In Bagdad, Ayad Allawi, the former Shiite prime minister, who now leads a Sunni contingent within the government, while Kurdish leaders met in Erbil, the semi-independent Kurdish region, with same goal, to oust Maliki. Very confusing to say the least, but all can agree that there is unrest within the country, that will probably lead to violence.</p>
<p><strong>BILL DALEY’S LOST YEAR…</strong>Someday William Daley may tell the world what went wrong during his short, unhappy tenure as White House chief of staff, a lost year for him…and the country. President Obama brought in the Chicago politico-business man to replace Rahm Emanuel, who had clashed with Michelle Obama. Mr. Daley was supposed to repair relations with the business community and the Republicans on Capitol Hill…….rumors abound that when he was assigned an office with no windows, that the space with Michelle and Daley, widened despite Bill Clinton’s push for retaining Daley.</p>
<p><strong>TWO COMMENTS FROM OUR READERS…Subject…blending corn</strong> “but I think that the third leg of this massive political payoff continues to survive, that being legal requirements that a percentage of gasoline we buy at the pump be ethanol. This is all part of the payoffs which Congress provides to the farm lobby and the mid-west politicians in exchange for political support, all at the expense of the American consumers. So what if ethanol uses up too much corn and drives up the price of food for all Americans , particularly the poor? At least we are dispensing political favors and continuing our legacy  of corrupt hypocrisy.”</p>
<p><strong>Second opinion: </strong>recess appointment power…”The legal opinion which Obozo relied on for his latest power grab could be construed to say that if Congress breaks for lunch, it’s a recess and the President can then make “recess  appointments”. And if this power grab wasn’t bad enough, the Cordray part was done on behalf of a new agency with doctorial powers which is answer to no one, not Congress, not the Fed, NO ONE. The purpose of the agency, as with so much of Obozo’s Presidency, is to drive as many banks and private lenders out of business as possible so the Federal government is able to take over.”</p>
<p><strong>FINANCIAL CRISES on TRIAL…</strong>The Securities and Exchange Commission the government-backed mortgage buyers, not Wall Street greed. </p>
<p>For the first time in a government report, the complaint made it quite clear that that the two government sponsored enterprises made it clear that the two GSEs played a major role in creating the demand for low-quality mortgages before   the 2008 financial crises. More importantly, the SEC is saying that Fannie and Freddie- the largest buyers and securitizes of subprime and other low-quality loans—hid the size of their purchases from the market. Through these acts of securities fraud, they did not just mislead investors, they deprived analysts , risk managers, rating agencies and even financial regulators of vital market risks that could have prevented the crisis. What were Dodd and Frank doing that they failed to see the problems ahead, surely they were told about the storms coming?</p>
<p><strong>MIA on the SHORES of TRPOLI…</strong>The U.S. defers to Qatar and the U.N. in Libya…President Obama offer criticizes the Bush Administration failing to “finish the job” in Afghanistan, so it’s odd to see him leave himself vulnerable to the same charge in Libya. A few months after the death of Gadhafi, the cautious and reluctant White House  follow up  to the NATO war resembles its approach to this year’s ARAB upheavals in general……The U.S.is finally “trying “to get the U.N. to release Libyan frozen assets, including $30 billion under U.S. jurisdiction. The United States is also deferring too much to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates on security, the Europeans, who pushed hard for NATO, seem more interested in buying Libya’s oil than midwifing a new Arab democracy.</p>
<p><strong> UAW PICKS TARGETS for SUICIDE BOMBING of U.S. ECONOMY…</strong>For over a year, it has been rumored that the UAW was going after major foreign auto manufacturers in the United States to force them to unionize by a work boycott. High on their list are the German manufactures Volkswagen AG and Daumier AG, seen as easier targets than the Japanese and South Koreans.</p>
<p>It’s a battle the UAW cannot afford to lose. By failing to organize factories run by foreign automakers, the union has been a spectator to the only growth in the U.S. auto industry in the past 30 years. That failure to win new members has compounded a crunch on the UAW’s finances, forcing them to sell assets and dip into its strike fund to pay for its activities.</p>
<p><strong>KODAK DIDN’T KILL ROCHESTER, IT WAS the OTHER WAY AROUND…</strong> The population of Rochester, N.Y. peaked in 1950 at 330,000, its largest headquartered company then and now, was Eastman Kodak, who produced the Kodak Brownie Camera that sold for $5.95. Rochester began to shed population after a race riot in 1964, and 5 years later the second largest company, the Haliod Company, later renaming itself Xerox, left for Norwalk, Connecticut. Kodak with its large cash flow and top global brand, thrived in the 60 and 70’s. Geography was a fatal blow to Kodak, businesses located in places where success is the norm, and innovation is built into the ecology, have a better chance of re-inventing themselves. </p>
<p><strong>WHO PAID for YOUR DOCTOR’S BAGEL ?&#8230;</strong> Obama Care’s “SUNSHINE ACT” will benefit only accountants, bureaucrats and lawyers…Embedded in Obama Care is a toxic rule called “Physician Payments Sunshine Act.” The Act requires all companies that manufacture medical products that are purchased from the government to disclose on a public web-site anything they give physicians valued above $10 dollars…….there pro and con groups….Who wins, who doesn’t care and who loses as a result of this regulation? Winners: the Sunshine Act is a stimulus plan for critics of the pharmaceutical and medical care device industry. The Sunshine Act will be a boon for accountants, compliance bureaucrats and legions of lawyers, who companies will hire to interpret and manage the regulations. There will be questions of how to identify which physicians are being paid what&#8212;as to how to account for  $25 dollars’ worth of bagels brought in for a group-practice office meeting when it’s unclear who actually ate the bagels.</p>
<p>Do you want your doctor pilloried for eating a bagel while getting useful product information that might benefit his patient? Do you want your hospital hiring compliance officers instead of nurses or lab technicians. This legislation is the poster child President Obama characterized as rules that are “plain dumb”. No matter what happens to the health-care reform law as a whole, Congress should junk the “SUNSHINE ACT” before it burns us all.</p>
