This doesn't relate to bee keeping, but to the bee keeper's statement about the cabbage palms blooming and being food for the bees. That reminded me of something to ask you: When I was young in south FLA I remember going out to the Glades to a fish fry and having swamp cabbage slaw. Is that something made from cabbage palms? If so, it was delicious. I'm in urban GA for this part of my life and still remember swamp cabbage slaw. Thanks for the reminder.

A BEE KEEPER!
I have seen one(1) count'em one, bee in four years. Send me some bees. Just mark them Live Bees for my UPS man. Don't have a hive, just going to turn them loose and let them fly.
Neighbor girl and I will just smile.

Aunt in town has big old house and her west wall had been full of bees for forty years. Everyone that sat on the front porch during swarm season had to dodge bees. She called the Bee man twice over a period of years. Answer was take down west wall to get the queen. She said not. About the same time my bees disappeared she called me and said "NO bees!" After forty years of gripeing about bees she misses them. Ask Bee Lady what happened to bees. Ask Bee Lady where she gets bee stock. You are in Fla. Big Ag area and lots of pollinating going on.
