As for your recommendation of getting an Amish or Pennsylvania Dutch Cookbook…let me drop back for just a minute or two, let’s see, where is it? Ah, here it is, a quote from one of our readers…”There are many variations, as Dry Shoo Fly Pie;Moist Shoo Fly Pie; and then there is the real Soft Bottom Shoo Fly Pie. The really moist pies I really love. You are in for a treat, if you experiment, and find the one recipe that suits your taste.”…Whoever suggested that, evidently is very knowledgeable in regards to these pies, and I’d be willing to bet, has a recipe or two, in their own recipe book. Why Mrs. Sames…it was you who sent this in to us, I’ll be dog-gone!! Would you be willing to send us in a recipe or two in this regard? LOL!! I’m just messing with you this morning, I’m sorry, and you guys can throw this type of behavior back my way some too, I can take it, a laugh is a laugh, and it does us all some good to do so!
