I have been putting up figs and yum............A friend had me to put them in a boiler and add a little water.  Sweeten the water and figs to our taste.  Bring them to a boil and cut off the stove and leave until the next day.  Bring them to a boil on day 2 and then cut them off and leave until day 3.  Day 3, bring them to a boil and put them in the jars.  Be sure and taste each day to be sure you have the amount of sugar you like.  I have never liked figs but these are wonderful on fresh biscuits................
