Hello there back at ya...how have you been? Yeah, I thought John's tips were pretty neat. Yeah, I know you're probably right (or ARE right) about the potential side effects of these drugs Kunoichi, but shoot, even with a slight chance of A risk, there's still 20 more...maybes?? It just baffles me today at all "THE MONEY" being made by Big Pharma. Several years ago, back when if you went to the hospital and got an itemized statement, I saw a Tylenol that I'd been given at...150 bucks a pop. This IS insanity. Chemo at $25,000 per dose...c'mon?? The steroid shot Deb had to take after her chemo treatment...$6,000 bucks!!!We had a nurse who works for an oncologist at Deb's cookout, she told Deb and I there are cases of it being substantially more??? BUT she also said she'd deny saying it. My question is this...has it ALL become about...the money, and I don't mean a reasonable charge, but excessive in the worst degree? There is a pill for everything today?? Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it's ALL me.

Anyway, enough of all that. You guys are all doin good I'm assuming? We sure hope all's well! Deb's doin fantastic and good night, this has all been amazing to me?? She's much tougher than I am, but, I guess as I've gotten older now, I'm realizing that you women are one tough bunch! God Bless you all! What's the old sayin, "Can't live with with ya, and can't live without ya!" LOL!! Great hearin from you! You guys take care!

Hey there! :-) *waving hello from the frozen wastelands*

Interesting to see the list of tips John sent you. I'd just seen that list a little while ago online, complete with photos. Love the gutter planter idea, though we wouldn't be allowed to attach anything like that to our townhouse.

In regards to the pharmacuitical commercials, there's a reason those lists are there. They are required by US law to include every single possible negative side effect a drug might have, no matter how remote. So if they did clinical trials and one person had X negative reaction out of thousands, they'd still have to include X in the disclaimers. Canada doesn't have such a law, since Canada doesn't allow pharmacuitical companies to adverstise on tv. Of course, we still see them on the US channels.

I prefer to check the medical websites for such information, as they are able to list potential side effects in categories from common to extremely rare.
