You know, we haven't been using the O2 packets...we use the food saver. We're eating corn meal, flour and rice that was put up in 08. No problem, sugar too. But, that's just how we decided to do it. The Latter Day Saints though supply tons of good info, and we learned a WHOLE lot just from researching their sites. Very, very informative in the art of food storage.
